In these kind of lists achievements and winnings play an important part. I do not think any of the players specially in your defense line up have have achieved anything big in their whole careers!! Parvin by any standards is 100% one of the best 11 players in Iran's football history.

Well if Parvin was a CB he'd be in there without a question. I don't think Iran has had any truly great defenders so that's always going to look a bit suspect, it's also something I kind of admitted to in the OP

CQ to whip them in shape and discipline in order to defend and attack as team, meaning some organized shiftings along the match.

back in 60s, 70s and may be even early 80s, football was @ its relative infancy..!! i dont rate much the superstars from those eras..!!
even their World-wide Bests would likely fail to make any significant impact in today's game of football..!!

good one Navid not sure about Mostafa Arab or Ashtiani though.

                    Mine:

                    GK ( Tough one); Hejazi/Abedzadeh

Defenders: Mahdavikia, Panjali, Rahman Rezaei ( dont like his personality though-very cocky), Eskandarian (Moharrami)
Midfield: Parvin, Nekounam (Bagheri Karim), Ghleechkhani, Ali Karimi (Nasser Mohammadkhani)
Forward: Ali Daei ( the king), Rowshan ( Azizi)

                    Coach: Heshmat Mohajerani

Thanks. Mostafa Arab is one of the most underrated footballers in our history. Maybe because of the huge boycott he has had in IR sport publications/media because of his political views. I don't think many defenders in Iran's history come close to these achievements.

-Youngest ever debut in TM (16 year old)
-Selected All Star team in the Continental of Asia twice (1966–1968)
-Athlete of the Year 3 times in Iran
-Silver medallist in the Asian games in 1966
-Captain/Gold medallist in the Asian Nations Cup 1972
-Gold medallist in the Asian Nations Cup 1968
-Captain/Player of Iranian national team qualifying for Olympic games in 1972
-Captain/Player of Iranian national team in Olympic games in 1964

Ashtiani also won two Asian cups with Iran as was chosen as MVP of the Asian cup and Asian player of the year in 1972. He also had an offer from Hamburg in 1971, too bad back then federation wouldn't allow players to become legionaries.
