Can anyone in Iran confirm? Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought this was true.
That doesn't change the fact that I do have Danish citizenship and that I'm a citizen of Denmark, just because they don't acknowledge it.
So the Japanese are confusing us. If he still have his Japanese citizenship, it doesn't mean Iran will take it away from him? Even FIFA rules allow dual citizenship..
One would think a country on level with Japan would allow this, when they know its for sport matters..

I think that law that let Japanese of mix ancestry to have different Passports is just for travelling to that particular country (which doesn't recognize the Japanese citizenship like Iran) not embracing a different nationality by playing football and representing another National Team.

Basically it is just an exception for travelling only to that particular country and nothing more. It is due to this fact that Iran does not accept Aria's Japanese nationality over his Iranian nationality, so for Aria there will be only one way to travel or do business in Iran by applying for an Iranian passport. Apparently Japanese govt has no problem with this because it will be not practical if they don't let and causes more harm to their Japanese citizens, so they let them have a second passport just for this cases. There is no force or mandatory clause for people carrying Iranian passport in representing the country in international stage. If Aria wants to travel to Iran he is not forced to play for Iranian NT so I guess this is the limits of this law. By choosing to play for Iran, Aria will take more steps outside the boundary of that Japanese nationality law. And that law may does not apply any more.

Anyway either the law is restricted, Aria's dad is not aware of the details or he is covering up for Aria's dissatisfaction about Iranian NT.

I can see Aria is fully integrated to Japanese identity. So there is very slim chances of him joining the NT as we predicted before.

My friend, this is just your observation. You personally don't know him so I don't think you know enough to make hard statements like that.

I remember people said the same thing about Dejagah too.

I can confirm that. The main reason being political. So that if a person is arrested their 2nd country cannot claim him/her as their national.

I am afraid that is the case. That is why they never let someone who has an Iranian name/surname/birth certificate to enter the country with anything other than an Iranian passport.

Lol if you want to go to Iran you have to get get the Sarbazi-stamp at the Iranian embassy in Copenhagen. If you have that stamp in your Iranian passport, Iranian police can't do anything against it, that would be against IR law

Btw I'm likely going to the embassy this or next week to renew my passport, and most likely my stamp so I can tell you if something has changed

If you are active in Facebook with your real name make sure you have no spies in your friend list. But they don't care that much about Facebook activity, otherwise I would have been arrested by now!

I know! 2009 was actually more relaxed than I expected at the airport.
