Kiarash, your persistence in rooting for this guy is really commendable. I don't mind seeing many new talent getting invited to TM camps. But how close did he ever get to play for Japan?
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

I think we should give Aria a chance. Same with Ryan Tafazolli, Amin Nazari and Radjabali-Fardi

All those players you mentioned are not wven close to TM material, except for probably Aria who if anyone of the players you mentioned deserves to be tested. And to all of you saying we should call up all these Iranians abroad and test them, who should be left out of the squad, whos place should they take? You think it's fair to the perhaps more talented players of our own league? You need to deserve a TM call up.

If this is true, looking at it from Hasegawa's perspective, this is the perfect time to do this. Look at the facts:

          1) For the past 4 years, his name has kept popping up in discussions - So he knows he'd get in the squad over here.
          2) A void has been left by Nekounam - So a starting position is also very likely.
          3) A Japanese call up is probably the furthest it's been since he stepped on the scene over there - He's at his peak but playing in the 2nd division isn't going to help.
          4) At 26 now, he's at the perfect age to play a season or 2 for TM, in order to obtain a lucrative offer to play in one of the camel jockey leagues.

Personally, I'd welcome him. It's win win for both him and Iran. It costs us nothing to try him out and we're taking a player away from Japan's talent pool.

If he joins TM, who thinks he'll end up in Qatar in a few years? Any bets??

With our golden generation of play-makers retiring, it is currently the only position in TM that we are really lacking. I hope he is given a shot in TM.

would be awesome to have such talented footballer in Team Melli. I hope once he joins Team Melli they won't cause him trouble in Japan or in Iran.

                  Viva Aria.

As soon as he joins NT team, he will be stopped at airport gate and asked to pay for his imaginary taxes and sort out his Sarbazi issue!

The funny thing is that my Japanese friend said that the story Aria's dad told was BS.

He showed me a law which allows a Japanese citizen to have two passports when the country of his father does not recognize dual nationality. Iran only sees Aria as an Iranian citizen since his dad is from Iran, so in fact the whole ''losing Japanese nationality'' thing was not true. More like a kind excuse from his dad.

                              Iran doesn't allow dual citizenship?

When you are in Iran you will be seen as an Iranian citizen only by law. Your Danish passport doesn't apply there.

Can anyone in Iran confirm? Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought this was true.
