Iran is still 99% GPRS and it can't handle that many cell phones.

I would always try to update on PFDC when I was in the stadiums but could never get online even in small places like Karaj's stadium.
No, I mean calling someone, their friends, etc.

Congratulations to Sepahan and all their fans, including me. I'm looking forward for Zob Ahan to win the Hazfi Cup.

If they win the club they will get a direct spot but if they don't they would go for play offs

Apparently to avoid damages to chairs in the stadium.

                      What about radios?
text messages can still get through easily on GPRS...
I simply don't believe it. I don't like the crap rumors that start after every damn game in Iran.
It reminds me of the crap that people started spouting after the Iran Bahrain game in 2001. Its an excuse.

If so, poor strategy because fans will eventually find out and feel even worse!

So they purposely lied to the fans and team in order to avoid the fans destroying the stadium. Of course I do understand the logic behind it, but that's just messed up not to mention unprofessional.

Yes, it as now confirmed by both Tasnim and Khabaronline, the fans and team were informed that Sepahan game had ended with a draw, in order to stop fans from breaking the chairs and ensure the safety of the referee. Welcome to Iran.

In all honesty and despite the fact that I do agree with your logic, I believe this decision might have saved the ref's life/lives. Sad but could be true!
