None of this makes any sense. There is clearly some major shenanigans happening here. Anyone denying it is burying head in the sand.

“Something bizarre happened,” said Naft chief executive Mansour Ghanbarzadeh, trying to explain how joy had turned to outrage.
“We were following the other game on television in the changing room but at 87 minutes in, suddenly the TV, radio and cellphone networks blacked out and we had no means of communication.”
“At that very moment, we were told the match between Sepahan and Saipa had ended with 2-2 draw,” he added.
The AFP article dances around the point, but it seems that some officials—whether these were Persian Gulf Pro League officials, Iranian government officials, or some other officials is unclear (not the least because I don’t speak Farsi)—relayed the misinformation in an attempt to prevent angry Tractor Sazi fans from rioting after losing the title.

Originally posted by Shahin View PostSorry, but another nonsensical, factually flawed post. I put the IRIB's own side by side screenshot. It shows the second Sepahan start cheering which doesn't really correspond to anything significant on field. Balls out, keepers down, the ref can easily add another minute to the extra time if he so chooses. The danger wasn't from Teraktor anyway. It was from Naft. They could have easily had at least 90 seconds more to score. Plenty of time. Sepahan clearly begin celebration because they know the final score.

I especially like this one because the IRIB director suddenly realizes he has fucked up and removes the side by side pictures. As soon as he sees Sharifi crying he removes that feed.

What a massive joke.

Noone says Sepahan were looking at the live broadcast. Probably either the final result was prematurely and wrongfully announced in Esfahan, like back then with Schalke and Bayern (just that then suddenly live images of Bayern's winner showed up on the video wall) or we have some issue with Irib delaying the live broadcast again, so match was actually over but broadcast for us was lagging from Tabriz.

Stop wining. It's year 2015, they could have used telephones, stop crying like little babies and making up excuses. Your beloved Toni should have defended when they were leading 3-1. There is clear proof that people are using telephones, and the tv signal is delayed as usual by the ashghal Islamic republic, Sepahan might have used their brains and used the simple technology of telephoning.
If TS knew Sepahan was still leading 2-0, would they have bombarded the Naft goal? Areh jooneh khodehshun...

Kaffashian said today all forms of communication in the stadium were lost shortly before the game's end and People were told the other game ended in a tie. Its that simple.
If this is the case then more likely the source of the disruption was the government itself. Neither IFF, sports ministry, or Sepahan club has the power to do such a thing.
