Noone says Sepahan were looking at the live broadcast. Probably either the final result was prematurely and wrongfully announced in Esfahan, like back then with Schalke and Bayern (just that then suddenly live images of Bayern's winner showed up on the video wall) or we have some issue with Irib delaying the live broadcast again, so match was actually over but broadcast for us was lagging from Tabriz.

The issue is, if all forms of communication were disrupted in Tabriz and there is at least a minute left in IRIB broadcast, how does the news of the game's final outcome get to Esfehan so quickly? How is it that Sepahan's representative in Tabriz is the only person in Yadegar Imam with access to a landline phone? It's very odd.

What many people seem to be unaware of is that there are A LOT of bets being placed on IPL games in Iran. There are many of illegal betting operations in Iran specifically targeting PGL. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the live picture was that somebody had put up a lot of money backing Sepahan's championship and was manipulating the outcome in Tabriz. That's always the first place to look when these sorts of things happen in sports.

یکی از اعضای تیم داوری بازی تراکتورسازی تبریز - نفت تهران ضمن تأیید این خبر به خبرنگار تسنیم گفت: فغانی اعتقاد دارد در صحنه*ای که تراکتوری*ها معتقدند باید برای آنها پنالتی گرفته می*شد، تصمیمش برای ادامه بازی کاملاً درست بوده است.

I have 3 questions:

1) If Tiraxtur fans were told that Sepahan had drawn the game, then why were they throwing chairs from minute 78, when they 'would win the league' with a draw??
Hmmmm, because they weren't told until the 90th minute that Sepahan had drawn the game?!

2) If all communication was cut, then why was that player on the phone clearly speaking with someone in the 95th minute??
There's nothing clear about that image as Ozone mentioned earlier. It's not even clear if that's a Tractor player. If they're even talking to someone (which is unclear), they could very well be using a walkie-talkie.

3) If the Tiraxtur players were told they would only need a draw, then why does Edinho lie down on the floor hitting the ground with his hands as a sign of sadness after he was subbed (minute 94)??
1st of all he was subbed in the 91st minute, not 94th. Secondly, he was obviously frustrated that they threw away a 3-1 lead, that he was subbed out, and that they had to still be fighting hard until the very last minute of the game to prevent Naft from winning the game. But that's all beside the point. The more important question to ask yourself is why would Toni kill time starting exactly in the 87th minute, by doing two substitutions bringing in a defender for a midfielder and then pulling out the league's top goal-scorer?! Doesn't sound like something you would do if you needed a win, unless you had completely lost your mind.

no doubt something really fishy happened here and we'll probably never find out the true events/reasons.

remember what happened after Bahrain 2001 and Iraq 2015, IFF/establishment claimed irregularities by the opponent teams and gave false hope of result reversal. they have long track record of incompetence and hypocrisy.

By the same token you should love how grown up professionals take the word of a man who showed 2 peace signs with his hand and they still are arguing who that person was.

We were aware of the Sepahan's result since we were in touch with with the IPL administrators in Esfahan but no one asked or verified their results with us.

At the end of the game they even announced in the stadium that Tractor became a champion and they asked fans to calm down so they can prepare for celebration. We can assure you that this news didn't come for us but we are terribly sorry for what happened.

So Naft knew, Sepahan knew...yet Tractor didn't? Yep, goes back to just poor management when you sum everything up. Even common sense works against Tractor.
