Yes, 100%. Did you not notice a huge dip in his form between WC and AC? The Iraq game was a very bad goalkeeping performance on its own. He looked lost for most of the match, and wasn't diving/thinking straight most of the match. Most of the goals scored on him were due to poor positioning/reflexes. A player fighting for their spot in a team usually rises to the occasion. Despite that loss, Haghighi is still 100% our #1, since Biranvand is still blossoming, so yes, he 100% had a dip in form due to a lack of real competition in the team. It was visible in a few instances in the AC. Errant kickoffs, some weird plays and choices even in the group matches. He didn't seem like the same guy as the WC in some instances of the AC. Not saying he was horrible, but if he played better we likely would have won. That first goal that tied the game and took us to extra time/PK's in the 60th minute or so was pretty much bad play by Haghighi. Easily misdirected and let the shot go between his legs. If this were Brazil Haghighi, he would have stopped that, and we would have taken the 1-0 win easily. That goal killed us, and the other one was laughable as well. That diving header by Goonis Meymoon. Out of position again. Couldn't stop 1 out of 8 penalties after that. Just really bad play in that game. Don' think we would have seen that with Davari on the bench pushing him in practice to be the best, and having him in the shadows on his mind.

Davari was a main factor, if not the only factor, in the loss vs Guinea and not beating Angola. I don't think Makani is that good but right now he deserves the 3rd goalkeeping spot. Davari hasn't played regularly for his club in months I'm not sure why he should be invited. Also to the parti bazi, perpepolos issue, queiroz has barely invited pp players in recent lists.

I'm lost. You've done a 360 to the point where you think CQ is succumbing to parti-baazi and favoritism?! Even some of the worst criticisms of CQ on this board have never accused the man of such ugliness.

On a lighter note and on the issue of goal-keepers, we should all be thankful Lak is not on the list!

Real talk, what has happened to Lak? He used to be good !! Now every game he has to have one really bad blunder ! Well we know
He lost his confidence but why! Low shots and balls that bounce are his nightmare !

Personally I couldn't be happier with these two lists. If CQ keeps the key players while adding the best performing guys from these lists to the final squad, our team will look pretty good. A good overall selection for our transition phase.

Why not Khalatbari? Is CQ retard?...
tbh, makani is doing really well and he is a great keeper when he is focused, its good he is included, he saved persepolis in the derby numerous times, if forouzan is invited, then makani is 100%

There are lots of better players:
Ghafoori, (even Montazeri), Milad Fakhreddini, Yousef Vakia....
probably the most overrated player in PGPL, he can't defend and can't cross, pretty much the most important thing for a RB

When I saw him in the first Match Day 13/14 in Tractor's game vs Persepolis, I was so impressed.
Now he's just the guy who caused Tractor Sazi's Ghahremani.
I'm sure that with f.e Beiranvand Tractor would have won the league in like week 25

TBH bro, I always thought Lak did a lot of sketchy stuff. I don't think it's so much a confidence issue, but one of focus. He just doesn't seem situationally aware, whether it's a ball coming at him with a slight spin/curve, or being aware of where every player in his defense or the opposite team's offense is at every moment.

He just doesn't seem focused on the task at hand down to the milliseconds that would make a goalie be on top of a situation. I don't know, his timing just seems off on a lot of plays. Sometimes he just looks lost, as if he didn't think about the move ahead of time!

But we just don't know, it could even be a medical problem. If he has undiagnosed hearing issues, it would explain a lot of the stuff he does as the slightest imbalance in your hearing can cause balance problems or even disorientation.

Mh I'm pretty sure that he CAN cross and he CAN defend, maybe it's not his strength.

What do you mean 360. I and many others have known that in Iran there is corruption. This is the main the reason why CQ wanted to leave. Interference with him and his players. I wouldn't put it past the akhonds to have the same xenophobic attitudes as many of these forum members and push, if not overtly to have these players excluded. CQ may have not seen a reason to fight on certain players who did not show themselves as superstars in 1 or 2 games. Don't you think it's suspicious that he has given Ansarifard 100 chances and Davari and Beitashour only 3-5?

Don't lie to yourself and make me out to be a bad guy. I'm merely stating the facts. CQ is a good guy and coach, but he coaches in Iran. A country filled with people with attitudes just like the one's on these boards. He needs to appease the fans, as they are the #1 source behind the team. When the fans are sh**ting on specific players, he may not see any need to call them up anymore. I'm saying that attitudes in Iran can poison CQ's opinion of a player. Never accused him of being bribed or bought by anybody. But yes, 100% parti-bazi is in Iran to a large extent in every avenue of life. It's like that in most of the world. Like the CEO of a company firing 2 individuals who are outsiders because the rest of the company resents their presence. Doesn't speak to the quality of the employee, but rather the bad attitudes of the insiders.

                          should not have been invited:

                          Amir Hossein Sadeghi Esteghlal
                          Khosro Heidari Esteghlal
                          Mohsen Frouzan Esteghlal
                          Yaghoiob Karimi Esteghlal
                          Hashem Beikzadeh Esteghlal
                          Omid Ebrahimi Esteghlal
                          Soroush Rafiei Foulad
                          Farzad Hatami Malavan
                          Hosseiin Mahini Malavan
                          Karim Ansarifard Osasuna

i would also prefer to work with davari and developm him versus sosha makani.

he doesnt really suck and plenty good enough to be the 3rd keeper, but like i said before his bs excuse for missing the last camp he was invited to, shows apathy and CQ isnt the type who forgets or forgive those who dont commit to his team 100%..!

Beitashour's injury was fairly minor I thought (he should be back this week or next) ... given he wasn't included in the asian cup squad either seems CQ wants to move on (I guess if he wants to find younger RBs I can't argue against that, but surprising he wouldn't get a look in the bigger camp at least)
