CQ needs players like Heydari to conduct an efficient camp. He has worked with CQ and would be an asset in training other players. I doubt he will have any part in final team.

Fourouzan is a no-nonsense keeper most of the time, he is more consistent than Makani but nothing too extraordinary, Sosha on his good days is better. I don't think Mazaheri is good enough for TM yet.
IMO Beiranvand should be given a chance to start few WCQ matches, he easily deserves it
Totally agree though that Beiranvand has earned a spot for some official matches and he's not going to get a better chance than these easy qualifiers to show himself. I think a little healthy competition for Haghighi is also a very good thing at this point.

He looked lost for most of the match, and wasn't diving/thinking straight most of the match. Most of the goals scored on him were due to poor positioning/reflexes. A player fighting for their spot in a team usually rises to the occasion. Despite that loss, Haghighi is still 100% our #1, since Biranvand is still blossoming, so yes, he 100% had a dip in form due to a lack of real competition in the team. It was visible in a few instances in the AC. Errant kickoffs, some weird plays and choices even in the group matches. He didn't seem like the same guy as the WC in some instances of the AC. Not saying he was horrible, but if he played better we likely would have won. That first goal that tied the game and took us to extra time/PK's in the 60th minute or so was pretty much bad play by Haghighi. Easily misdirected and let the shot go between his legs. If this were Brazil Haghighi, he would have stopped that, and we would have taken the 1-0 win easily. That goal killed us, and the other one was laughable as well. That diving header by Goonis Meymoon. Out of position again. Couldn't stop 1 out of 8 penalties after that. Just really bad play in that game. Don' think we would have seen that with Davari on the bench pushing him in practice to be the best, and having him in the shadows on his mind.
And if it's anyone now who is going to keep Haghighi on his toes, it's Beiranvand, dude is amazing. Davari has been terrible ever since he joined his new club in Switzerland, it is quite understandable that he is not invited, I don't get why people rate him so highly, he is very slow and does a lot of blunders. Now Beitashour I can still understand if people want him invited, but Davari has had a huge dive in form.
Davari got his chances and failed, and now he is doing pretty badly, I wish him the best, but TM is not somewhere you are invited for hope of doing better, you first start delivering in your club to show what you're capable of, then you're invited to TM. Those who question that he's not invited among other players, are pretty much questioning CQ's decision, he gave Davari a fair chance and he didn't deliver.
Originally posted by Afat11 View PostWhat do you mean 360. I and many others have known that in Iran there is corruption. This is the main the reason why CQ wanted to leave. Interference with him and his players. I wouldn't put it past the akhonds to have the same xenophobic attitudes as many of these forum members and push, if not overtly to have these players excluded. CQ may have not seen a reason to fight on certain players who did not show themselves as superstars in 1 or 2 games. Don't you think it's suspicious that he has given Ansarifard 100 chances and Davari and Beitashour only 3-5?
Don't lie to yourself and make me out to be a bad guy. I'm merely stating the facts. CQ is a good guy and coach, but he coaches in Iran. A country filled with people with attitudes just like the one's on these boards. He needs to appease the fans, as they are the #1 source behind the team. When the fans are sh**ting on specific players, he may not see any need to call them up anymore. I'm saying that attitudes in Iran can poison CQ's opinion of a player. Never accused him of being bribed or bought by anybody. But yes, 100% parti-bazi is in Iran to a large extent in every avenue of life. It's like that in most of the world. Like the CEO of a company firing 2 individuals who are outsiders because the rest of the company resents their presence. Doesn't speak to the quality of the employee, but rather the bad attitudes of the insiders.
And regarding Ansarifard, why wouldn't he be invited? Is he really worse than Davari and Beitashour? Do we honestly have a third striker better than him right now? We are raving all about our youngsters who are up and coming but when Ansarifard was their age he scored 21 goals in the league, something these strikers would dream of. And I'm not saying they're no good, I'm saying that they haven't developed in to players right now who can throw Ansarifard out and take his place.

Don't know who else could be surprises at this point other than Davari, Beita, Hasegawa, the Nazaris or Radjabali Fardi. He invited almost every young player I've heard talked about on these boards, and even Ezatollahi. I think this is the final list Kiarash. Despite us hoping for some more talent from abroad, CQ seems like he's trying to find his AK8 within IPL, and I respect that. He hasn't done any wrong in his selections yet, I just personally wish people would stop ragging on outsiders, so we could at least see a couple of more games from them. We really barely got a taste of these players, and there are people just saying in passing "oh, he sucks." They were test less than 5 times, how do you know?

he called up pretty much everyone I could think of. There is probably something with khalatbari that we are not aware of (or simply he is too small to play in CQ's team I really don't know, because if it was his age, he wouldn't have invited the other older players). Good list, I wonder if Beitashour wasn't injured he would still be included? Regardless this should give a lot of motivation to the youngsters for them to know they are CQ's radar. I am also assuming we will never see Aria on the team. I am looking forward to the final list and the upcoming matches CQ--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

Also by inviting a young player like Saeid Ezatollahi I hope CQ sends a clear message to all players, especially youngsters the importance of prioritizing their football development. If they work hard and make the right decision (to get out of Iran, but more importantly not chase money) they will get rewarded with training with the national team, and possibly getting a chance to play soon. Well done to our young football players (Ezatollahi, Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun) for realizing this early and taking the chance. Also is this the first list in like 15 years where nekounam wasn't included ? Sad to see our legend retire I'll miss seeing him on the field.--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the ball hit our defender and then bounced to Younis, should Haghighi have expected that? The dude can not see in to the future.

Aziz I have a very hard time seeing CQ inviting Sosha just because of pressure from above, he is not the kind of man who would accept that, he threatened to leave earlier because he didn't get to have his own way.

Come on man, seriously, I am all for inviting Iranians abroad if they're good enough, but none of the players you mentioned (except for the bolded ones) are anywhere near TM material right now. The same way you say that some members are xenophobic you are praising players abroad just a little too much, no offense bro.

It just boils my blood because you Zandi and others are smarter than this. You have common sense, but it's just so clear that you over look these obvious things. You don't want to believe it for some reason. Haghighi is OKAY. He's good by Iranian standards. Davari was OKAY, he did great against Thailand, and if you rewatch the game with Guinea, he actually had 2-3 great 1 v 1 saves that were allowed by defensive lapses. You guys all pick that one goal that yes, his reflexes were slow, but nobody mentions Shojaei's errant pass that set up a break away run with Haddadifar chased the guy and fell down and the player was just given an open shot with 2 defenders screening Davari's vision. Why can't you guys look at Davari's play analytically like this? You do it for every player like Ansarifard. Dude scored 20+ goals 3 or 4 years ago now man. He was not good since that move to PP, yet he is given a pass for his previous good form in hopes that he will regain it. Nope, it's a sin to allow Davari that same treatment.
Here, I'll give you the perfect example since you asked for one. You say who is good enough to be considered the 3rd striker among the 10+ CQ called.
Gucci
Sardar
Taremi
Even More Strikers better than Ansarifard
Among the list of 10+ goalies called, you're telling me there just wasn't enough room, but there's enough room for Ansarifard among the Strikers? Your argument, although the opposite of mine, just has too many holes. I know that many will "thank" you since it's the same Iranian mentality among others, but please, just open your eyes and see how much Davari hate from you people has caused. It's no injury for Beita either. So many probably spoke bad about them to CQ, he probably soured on them.
AGAIN, I clarified that CQ is not bought by anyone, yet you are all implying I'm saying this. Every person is influenced by the opinions of others. You have to understand that CQ has a team that helps him call players up. He doesn't do it as a one man show. Don't you think there's a few scouts like you in the team who are close with Makani, Haddadifar, etc. and give good feedback to CQ about those players while saying Davari is middling away doing nothing?
You guys are obtuse in your thinking and really don't notice all of these variables. You just say Haghighi, okay, Davari, bad. That's the end of it. None of your arguments give me any reason that makes Davari worse than other keepers. Just your opinion that he's slow and a statue. I can and have given you examples of other goalkeepers' failures, but please, by all means, overlook them. Just respond by saying "but no AFAT11, you don't get it, Davari is a statue and he was bad in 1 game against Guinea!"
Z Joon and 100 others thank you for the brilliance.
