Persepolis becomes the first Iranian club with an official facebook account

This is the official Persepolis facebook page run by the club, it is linked from the clubs official website so that is confirmed.

    Some negatives:
    1. Its format is unprofessional, title is "Fc-Persepolis", while it should be more professional like "Persepolis FC" or "FC Persepolis"
    2. Not very active, last post was 2 days ago, this is the official page of Asia's most popular team, they should be updating ever few hours.
    3. Only farsi, there should both english and farsi writing as many supporters of the club are Iranians living abroad who can't read farsi.
    4. No promotion of site, Persepolis hasn't promoted their page at all anywhere, the only place it is, is on the very bottom of their official website which hardly any people look at.

    Positives:
    1. Hey, they are the first club to do such a thing so its a good start and it can only improve.
    2. Slowly and slowly acts like this will lead to facebook eventually being unlocked in facebook, I was actually quite suprised they opened a facebook page, because of course it is still blocked in Iran. The more governmental, sports and artistic figures inside of Iran who join facebook, the more the government will realize there is no point in censoring facebook, because people already use it through filters.
    3. When facebook is unblocked, this page will eventually exceed 1 million+ likes and finally we can get reliable news from the club instead of several different fanpages.
    4. Hopefully this will be the new trend, lets hope Taj, Tractor, Foolad and Sepahan follow suit.

Here is the link, their page only has 307 likes, so please like it and share.

Lastly this better not turn out to be Persepolis linking a fanpage to their official website, or I will look like the biggest idiot on this forum.

Who cares? It's amazing it took them this long to get a facebook fan page going. Why this is considered progressive is crazy. It takes literally 10 minutes to create a fan page.
