Can someone tell me the name of the planet where some think it's normal and even remotely reasonable for a professional coach to pay out of his own pocket for the training grounds of his team while the general manager just takes off to another city for "spiritual purposes"? That must be one magical planet indeed!

It's not normal but didn't CQ pay for a camp or something couple of months ago? I'm not sure if it was just a suggestion by Kafashian or if he actually did it.

How does a millionaire like Hedayati not have $400 to spend on a practice pitch?

        It just boggles my mind.

What some people refuse to see is the simple fact that your national team is precisely a reflection of what goes on in your league and your club teams.
What these shallow people refer to as "rants and raves" ( that must be the word of the week BTW) , is actually the sole reason our football is in the state that it is today.
In fact, it has everything to do with CQ.
On e simply can't hand the keys to a broken ship to a captain and expect him to sail around the world.
If you chose to close your Bi-honar eyes and not see the facts simy bc u have drank the Lompan Coolaid....
That's your problem and not ours.

No, I don't think it's Branko's responsibility to pay for a "training pitch", but this was NOT about a training pitch - it was about the use of the gym at the hotel!

As Nokhodi mentioned already, it was the responsibility of Al-Hilal officials to provide PP with a proper training pitch and training facilities. Whether the hotel gym was part of those facilities, or they provided separate facilities at the training ground, we don't know.

Regardless, this has nothing to do with the IFF or "Daryoush Zahab, Gale Noie, Derakhsan, Bijan Zed-e Footbal", blah blah blah - absolutely nothing. It's completely unrelated rant and rave, not much different from the usual rant and raves we hear from the named characters!

Ultimately, this was a VERY SIMPLE issue that should have been resolved between Al-Hilal officials and Nejadfallah (who is without a doubt an idiot for what he did) and/or Branko. If not, I personally wouldn't have subjected my players to that level of humiliation over $400 on a $0.5+ million salary, regardless of whose fault or responsibility it was. But maybe you're different.

                  Jack Burton for TM.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

LOL. I thought it would have been a little bit before your time so I'm surprised you know it.

"Maximum Overdrive" doesn't ring a bell by any chance, does it?! I have not met anyone other than the wife who has seen that movie - dumbest one ever about these killer trucks (!!!), but funny as hell.

Good meme, guaranteed to get all the nationalists' [ woops can't say bad words don't want to offend precious moderator sensibilities ;^) ] hard. The reality is that a country that sprouted from the desert 35 years ago doesn't have to have its players training in a hotel lobby before a champions league game while our many thousand year old nation does. What does that say about us? Oh woops durp a durr we should beat UAE with farmers durr hurr hurr hurr hurrrrr HUUUUUUUUUR I LOVE IRAN LOOK AT MEEEE.

Meanwhile we lose to a much lesser team, Iraq, with 10 of our very best players, some of whom played in Europe. ***EDITED AND WARNED****

overall point is that this Ongoing, ridiculously Severe Shortage of Funds for our country's Football programs is an Alarming Matter and should be treated as Such, by us fans..!!
it would be pretty stupid of us to ignorantly turn a blind eye to its obvious current and especially future success-hindering affects ..!!
you guys can not go on Expecting repeated miraculous on-field success in spite of such dreadfully low inve$ment in our Football by the thieving Authorities in charge of financing the our country's football..!!

*can someone explain to me exactly who and how IFF get their financing from the government..!!? who are the asssholes who have been holding the damn purse strings so damn tight, of late..??
is there a historical precedence for such limited budget allocated to IFF..??
What really is the biggest reason for this immense $hortage? is it the same ol bs Sanctions excuse..? is it likely the rampant corruption running in our football? is it really that the supposed high salary to CQ has put IFF in such a budgetary crisis..? why is it that the gov. refuses to give more money to our football..? how the fk is it that IRIB is allowed for so long to broadcast our leagues and national team games without paying adequate broadcasting fees to IFF and clubs..?? etc

To the so called know it alls who thought this post was "ranting and raving" ,.......

The 1st TM traing camp in Turkey was Cancelled today due to lack of funds, but I am sure CQ should have paid for that camp too.
Why don't we. Just start putting it in every foreign coach's contract that comes to Iran: " it is your responsibility to arrange friendliest,, pay for practice facilities, pay for training camps, plane tickets, etc"....
Oh but dont forget... We used to have 10 players playing in Europe 123 years ago!!!!!

                              What?

Having zero infrastructure, no support or funding from your Football federation, a horribly poor league that has failed to produce any talent and routinely gets knocked out of Asian games has nothing to do with a bunch of LOMPAN and BISAVAD coaches who are salivating for TM to LOSE AND FOR ITS COACH TO GET FIRED so that they can benefit from it?
                              Really?
Why exactly do you feel like you need to defend a LOMPAN-supporting, suspicious Lompan express talk show out of LA who clearly supports and openly candidates BISAVAD Iranian coaches for TM and has once promoted Afshin Qotbi for TM and PP?

What's funny is that that anti-CQ people were complaining on TV saying "why is CQ arranging the hotels and training grounds?"

As if he was making $$ by doing so. I hope this shows that he was just trying to ensure his team doesn't ruin other hotel guests' vacations.
