It's a shame that the worlds greatest sport is run by a corporation that is this corrupt. And it's annoying that the corruption is visible but it isn't get solved, so tired of this.

FIFA is not a corporation, it's a nonprofit organization.

With that said the founding rules of Fifa are irrelevant now. Having 209 members with each having the same power is stupid. The current Fifa president has all decisions on where funding goes. So he can say vote for me and I'll increase your funding.

what a joke this election was. A complete show. What the countries should have done is abstain from voting.

In most elections, the candidates go at each other, picking apart each other's accomplishments. What we saw today was a corrupt Blatter and a handpicked prince ali pretending to have an election. I have never seen 2 more polite candidates. Heck, even with IR, at least the candidates take shots at each other. The least he could do was take this to the 2nd round to at least give the impression that he is serious about running against SEP. But ofcourse, that would just prolong this mess, and shazdeh wanted to make sure he had a job in FIFA.

I honestly thought FIFA was a professional organization. They have lost respect, and they are no better than our corrupt AFC.

He withdrew a month ago, saying the election will be a sham and that is all already decided. Good move by him.

Don't you think they should place a rule where a Fifa president can only run for 2 consecutive terms? This seems like a dictatorship to me.

I also have a feeling that Blatter either has a dirt on each of these candidates who run against him or probably bribes them off.

Very happy to see Blatter reelected. I can't stand Platini, the pretentious giving lessons to others (we should look to his achievment as UEFA president) and neither any arab that want to rule FIFA.
