IMO, Russia wont be moved. Russia has a far greater history of corruption and knowhow on covering things up that might cause USA to allege charges that never get proven in time.
There are 7 years until the 2022 World Cup and more than enough time to find bribery in hosting dealings and to even groom a new country to host the World Cup(it doesnt have to be the USA)
actually I was hoping the qataris would spend more money building those underground hotels and under the sea stadiums while hearing of the cancellation of their WC a few years before 2022. The more money these people waste, the better

BREAKING: FIFA President Sepp Blatter says he will resign from his position amid corruption scandal!
Wow! Was that prophetic or what?!
On a serious note, Russia is a done deal - there's absolutely no way anyone can reverse that decision - not the FBI, not the Swiss authorities, not the new president, and highly unlikely even God would touch that one.

From your lips to God's ears.
But i am pretty sure that this is exactly what will happen. Russia will be stripped off and Qatar will still host.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.
Qatar doesn't deserve to exist in the first place. It's a artificial country with no past and history.
Just fucking oil money.

Unlike Qatar, I think Russia's selection was merited Ali joon. They have the population, fan base, football tradition and the experience of hosting two Olympics - not to mention that they're the biggest country in the world and one of the top 5-10 economic powerhouses.
In that sense, they don't have any of the handicaps that Qatar is suffering from (lack of population and fan base, extreme heat that warrants a change to when the world cup takes place, social issues, slavery, etc.) - they're also 4 years ahead of Qatar in their preparations as hosts.
Don't forget, there is no precedence for stripping a country of a world cup, particularly after they've started spending billions of dollars to meet their obligations. So, building a case to do so would be extremely difficult.
On that note, the only way I can see Russia being stripped of that opportunity is if there's major socio-political upheaval - there is a precedence for banning a country from attending a major international tournament (still not hosting) under those circumstances and the most famous one is of course Yugoslavia in Euro 92.
But Qatar is a completely different story IMHO. For one thing, most of these allegations of bribery are centered around their bid for the 2022 WC. They have continuously failed to honor their obligations under their contract with FIFA, while certain FIFA executives were continuously bending backward to accommodate them...
You can't build air conditioned stadiums like you were supposed to, that's okay we'll re-schedule the entire football schedule of the whole world to accommodate you!!! Something was fishy about that and it stunk of corruption.
So, a case to strip Qatar can be made simply around failure to perform under contract. And that needs to be done because at the end of the day, no country is going to go away without a fight and this will become a court case with claims of damages potentially in the billions - sums that would bankrupt FIFA if they didn't have a rock solid case.
Qatar's stock index apparently dropped 3% today to a 6-week low because of the news!!!
Also, as of right now, these are some of the potential candidates included in the chatter:
Michel Platini: President of UEFA Prince Ali bin Al Hussein Domenico Scala: Independent chairman of the audit and compliance committee of FIFA Zico Maradona: Suggested by Venezuelan president Maduro Chung Mong-joon: Billionaire scion of South Korea's Hyundai conglomerate and former member of FIFA's Executive Committee Jerome Champagne: Former French diplomat and FIFA deputy secretary general Wolfgang Niersbach: Former sports journalist and FIFA media chief
