The whole organization is full of crooks.
Alot of the people within FIFA lining up to be boss are just as corrupt as him.

he knows full well that by now him and FIFA is just a thing of the past for him and he will never again be associated with FIFA in any capacity & that US justice department and their continuing investigation deeper into his past misconduct is indeed his biggest impediment to ever be able to put this whole saga behind him and move on with his life in (what should still be a relatively very comfortable) retirement, away from football..!!

Blatter seems to be anymore the thing of the past and Platini now seems to be the next big target of US litigators..!!

whether all this culminate in Qatar loosing the right to host WC remains the bigger question still..!!

should have been a lifetime ban for both of these corrupt officials, remember them never wanting goal line technology and video replays? That would have meant they wouldn't have been able to arm, let's say influence matches shall we. It's also a shame they didn't get a lengthy incarceration.

8 years is too little, too late, they should be banned for life.

Well, Blatter is 79 guys, so this is pretty much a lifetime ban for him.

And don't forget, the investigations are ongoing and Blatter and Platini will most certainly be appealing these decisions - so this not over by any means.

It was obviously important to get them out as soon as possible for football to have any credibility left, so IMHO it was a good balanced decision and something that sticks for now. The more sever punishment they tried for, the less the chances of success in the Arbitration Court of Sport.
