What do you predict the outcome of out coming matches vs Trkm & Uzbk?

Personally I don't see the 5 - 0 or 6 - 0 happening against Turkmen. The only time I expect Iran to score more than 4 goals is vs GUAM in TEHRAN. Football has changed. It's not the 20th century anymore where you could easily score 10+ goals against the noob teams of the world.

My prediction:

Uzbekistan 0 - 1 Iran. Azmoun will score.

Turkmenistan 0 - 2 Iran

I think you are overrating Turkmenistan. If we go with an attacking formation, like a Mehdi Sharifi and Sardar combo, we will score a lot of goals against them.

Turkmenistan is innocent? come on. they moved the game from eshgh abad to some random place on Uzbek border. Our players have to go there with a bus. Also, Dashguz stadium has a terrible field. They are already being dirty.

We do these things to Korea too, in order to get in their heads. It doesn't mean we are horrible. It is likely their federation trying to get an advantage on a dangerous team. Many Asian teams do the same, it's almost customary... I still don't think their players should be humiliated with a 6-0 thrashing at home. I have a soft spot for them. Don't know why. I hope we win comfortably. That's all I will say.

They will be jetlagged and beatable when we play them but we need to get realistic with our expectations. We have never beaten Turkmenistan(and we have played them twice). Lets get a win to start it off right.

We've actually played them 6 times, all in the mid 90's with 2 wins, 2 ties and 2 losses.

The games for the 1993 ECO cup are not on the FIFA database, because they did not officially join FIFA until 1994, but those two games which both ended at 2-1 were the closest ones to having a quasi "A" team for us.

In that period in the mid 90's they also had one of their highest FIFA rankings 110 to 140 along with another spike in the 2004-2005 period. They are currently ranked 173 , one spot above Guam, most of whose players are university students.
