No. None of Iranian youth teams has a good chance. It's largely due to lack of physical conditioning that required. Iranian coaches simply are not equippt for such prepration.
Korea ( both ) , Japan, Qatar and UAE are good at conditioning their youth teams.
Iranian youth are more technical than physically strong.
We usually have trouble against even Syria, Iraq......
Among other things, one thing that CQ at TM realized early was this physical conditioning and he hired good trainers.
Khakpour just realized that a Month ago when he hired a good trainer.
Peyrovani & Alidoosty are simply traditional coaches.

Iran U16 defeated India 3-0 same score as TM senior team did.

We can even manage small tournament in Iran. Officials have no clue about games and relationship with fans.

              I DO NOT know.
I have not seen their last two games and won't see third game( travelling) so it will be impossible to predict next round. They will advance from group E as a first team. Depending on next group draw they have chance to go to QF.
Base on their previous games with few exceptions there are not that many quality players in U16 squad. To to QF and above ,team has to be balanced with strong and quality players beside good coach. Iran U16 is not there yet but with a good support and plan they have chance.
              AFC report

Iran kicked-off their qualifying campaign with a 3-1 win over the Lebanese and took the first steps on scoring three times for the second successive match when Mohammad Sharifi put the Group E hosts a goal to the good with 17 minutes at the Gostaresh Foolad Stadium played.
Amir Khodamoradi struck two minutes from the interval as Iran went into the break with a two-goal lead, which they extended 11 minutes into the second half as Mohammad Ghaderi (pictured right)

Having said that the tie-breakers and qualification for this tournament are STUPID. If we lose to Bahrain by 4 goals and India finish 2nd in the group by beating Lebanon, we're not going to be used in the ranking of the 2nd placed teams despite having 6 points!

Instead they'll take the 5th best ranked 2nd placed finisher from another group. Basically, the 3 teams in our group other than India ended up with much lower chances of qualification that any other team in any other group.
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!! But then again this is the AFC we're talking about, bunch of nobodies with s**t for brain!
He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt, for he has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice. Albert Einstein

"Congratulating Iran on the victory, Head Coach Nicolai Adam added with a smile, “We look forward to having rematch against Iran in the AFC U-16 Finals next year in India.”

“With due respect to Iran, we played much stronger Teams during the exposure teams in Germany and even won. But to win a game like this you need to play without making mistakes, which we were not able to,” he maintained.

“It was in the last 20 minutes that we played Football. The second goal at the stroke of interval killed us,” he stated. “The boys are young and we have time to prepare them for the bigger challenges that stay ahead.”

“We could not reproduce our good performance which we put up against Bahrain. In my opinion, we lost because we were weak, and not because Iran were strong,” he commented.

“It was not a good match for both sides as there were plenty of long balls played by both sides while Players from this age should play more on the pitch,” he felt."

How fucking disrespectful is the Indian coach? jesus christ.
