who cares about this Mickey Mouse tournament, what's important is to qualify for the World Cup.

You need great grassroots to keep qualifying for world cup or great preparation and coach, thankfully we now have the latter. But we need great grassroots. Important for these youngsters to qualify and play internationally to cultivate them.

A lot of Indians blaming their loss on Iran supposedly having overage players. They think that just because the Iranian players were physical and the Indians were tiny that means that tm was overage. But there's bone scans at this level so its not even possible for them to be overage...

Where did you read this? Indians are not really good in any sport, except Cricket. Probably weakest nation when it comes to athletes in the world. Maybe they should blame themselves.

Oh man, reading through the live report was stressful, let alone watching it. Our youth struggling beating the Indian side is quite painful and hard to swallow, unless India's football has recently tremendously progressed beyond our thinking!

At this rate in 5-10 years these small Persian gulf states may surpass our somewhat/regressive stagnant football...

We played better against them when they had 11 men. We were never in real danger against them and clearly superior. The problem was, when they were down to 10 men, the boys took their feet off of the pedal. This is because the coach wanted to play conservative (mental midget) and the boys were overthinking. We were far too respectful of them. Albeit, they lost to UAE by just one goal and tied Saudi. UAE are not a bad team. A good coach would have pounced and destroyed India because of the fact we were up one man.

doubt it. We will always have natural talent in our sides that countries that arent football mad will never have. We just need to provide the right facilities for the talent to nourish. (facilities,coaching,league,etc) then we will see our football be able to compete on a whole new level .

Has anyone noticed the Givova logo on Iranian team jersey has been masked. This is while the fustal team today was showing the brand name on their outfit.

I don't know much about the quality of the jersies, but I have say the Givova design is kinda nice. I like it better than that stupid so called Adidas over sized garbage.

This championship serves as the qualifiers for the u17 World Cup. The top 4 will qualify, a realistic chance for Iran's u16 team.

They can gets lots of experience playing against good u17 teams from around the world. That could serve TM in the upcoming 5-10 years.

And as Persepolis#1 said, scouts will be looking for players at the u17 World Cup.

Dude, thats what I said, that the only thing important is to qualify for the U17 world cup, dont care if they win this useless tournament or not. I guess you thought I meant Senior TM.
