I do give the Saudi players a lot of credit. On the offensive side they were very technically proficient and creative. On couple of their goals they mad the extra pass that none of our players were willing to make. On Jabari's goal I was screaming at the screen to play in Shekari for the easy goal. He got so lucky that he was able to recover the ball after both Saudi defenders converged on him.
We have a very talented team, however like everyone has already said the coaching is shit.e

Even EA Sports knows Saudi Arabia sucks

        FIFA 17:
Players from Iran: 8 Golds: 1
Players from Saudi: 330 Golds: 0

        FIFA 15:
Players from Iran: 5 Golds: 1
Players from Saudi: 294 Golds: 1

I wouldnt really get angry if the arab teams beat us fair and sqaure by PLAYING BETTER.
the problem starts when these arabs start grass rolling and resorting to unfair and unsportmanlike behavior. this kind of scumbag behavior is what sets people off. If you play well and beat us, that'd be fine. Shows we have to work harder.
But what arabs do is far beyond this.
from the moment of issuing visas, to travel, to arrival at their shitty airports, to the transport to the hotels, to the hotels themselves, to training grounds, ... all the way to the game itself.
on each and every bloody step they remind us their shitty characters and nature.

Oh so according to many posters here, the 6 goals that our team allowed against KSA is on the coach because he is shit, but the 5 goals that the same players scored against the same KSA team in the same game is credit to the talented players!!!!!!!!! some fucking logic this is!

You fans are as bad as the coach you are whining about! him as a coach, you as fan!!

Can someone give me a good summary of the game without the heated arguments over Saudi vs Iran. Highlights I saw a red card but it was so short I have no idea what happened. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. We were so soorakh but the last 3 goals we conceded were REALLY BAD. The keeper was absolutely horrendous in this game. Even on the penalty he couldn't make a decision to at least dive in one direction. He was horrible through and through... Even slightly better performance from him and we could have won. Why did we get a red card btw?

Saudis played well. We have to give credit where it's due. I know the penalty was not fair, but they did score 5 more goals on us that is a no no if we really want to think long term and have a nice showing in the World Cup.

Coach was not solid and we didn't have much preparation games neither but this is not the end of the world so I hope the boys learned something from this defeat. We have to play much harder, smarter and also pass more, as that's where they got us where they played as a team and we wanted to use our skills. Overall, our next game will be to try out some players who did not get a chance to play in this competition or try different formations. But majorly IMHO, we must work on our defense a lot.

Wow, potential 3rd place in the U19 Asian Cup? Historic day it can be for Iran... because finishing 3rd in the U19 Asian Cup is such an honourable achievement.

The first and most important objective was to qualify for the WC, which we did. That experience is priceless and much more important for our football in the long run than lifting a trophy over our heads.

Sure it would have been the icing on the cake (especially by having beaten KSA) but let's not act as if it's the end of the world.
