If Qatar,Japan and Iran all end on 5 points the game against Yemen will not count. ( If teams are equal on points 9.3.2.1. higher number of points obtained in the group Matches played among the Participating Teams in question).
This means all 3 teams will have 2 points and ( 9.3.2.2. superior goal difference from the group Matches played among the Participating Teams in question) which means:
If Qatar-Japan ends 2-2. 1. Qatar (3-3) 2. Japan ( 2-2) 3. Iran (1-1)
If Qatar-Japan ends 1-1. 1. Qatar( 2-2) 2. Iran and Japan both will have ( 1-1 ) and NOW the game vs Yemen will count. As Japan won 3-0 we have to better that scoreline.
If Qatar-Japan ends 0-0. 1. Qatar or Iran( both will have 1-1 and we have to beat Yemen by more than 1 goal to top the group). 3. Japan will be out.
This is 100% right i promise you. In Euro 2004 Italy was eliminated on this rule as Sweden and Denmark played out a 2-2 draw that took both to the quarterfinals. It wouldn't have mattered even if Italy would have scored 80 goals against Bulgaria.Esteghlal 💙💙

(a) Japan wins (they have 7, we have 5 and Qatar has 4 pts) - Japan and Iran go through
(b) Qatar wins (they have 7 pts, we have 5 pts and Japan has 3 points) - Qatar and Iran go through
(c) they tie (means we all have 5 points - but because we are through because we have a GD +2), Japan has GD +3 and we go through with Japan and us.
We have to win by 2 to go through - regardless of other result. It's simple.

From Euro 2004:
"Three teams – Italy, Denmark and Sweden – all finished with five points, with each team having defeated Bulgaria but drawn their two other games. As all results between the three teams in question were draws, both the points won in these games and the goal difference accrued in these games still left the teams undivided. The decisive tiebreaker was therefore the goals scored during the games between one another: Italy having scored the fewest goals of the three teams were therefore eliminated."
Denmark 0–0 Italy
Italy 1–1 Sweden
Denmark 2–2 Sweden
Here you guys can see the result against Bulgaria was not included.
Sweden finished first (3-3)
Denmark finished second ( 2-2)
Italy finished third (1-1)Esteghlal 💙💙
