Yes we play bad. I have seen Iranian players and know their capabilities, they don't play near their best.
Iran as a team has not shown any offensive tactics except individual run. Run till you lose the ball is not a tactic. They have not shown any goode plan for CK, FK , or PK.

these kids has been with this coach two years but unable to have a good passing game nor coherent offensive game.
They physically are not at their best. They had no proper training by good coach, bunch of Badamoozi...

Someone please tell me what Qualifications Peyrovani Jr. has? Is he even a national c licence holder?

If they didn't do poor in the finishing department that would have been 3 or 4 nil.
I agree, overall we played well & control the proceedings ..!
if it wasn't for our horrid finishing, we woulda pummeled Yemen @ least 3-0/4-0..!

Tbf, Yemenis were not a bad team & an easy opponent per say. ..!?
I have a good felling we can beat the Uzbeks in the next game & fairly sure they aren't too happy about facing our gratually improving youngsters in a do or die match. ..!

        When is it anyways !?

He is Kako from lovely City of Shiraz and brother of Shahgholam & Afshin.
He has been mostly Assistant coach, not a good one.
He is a good manner individual with good academic education. He could be good IFF employee but not a Coach of TM...

Connection was the main reason for getting the job plus low expectation of salary.

i highly doubt there even was a Grand ol specific "GamePlan" by our coach for these kids to Execute..!!?

nevertheless, our boys seem to have gelled and gotten used to playing with each other much more and have already come a loong way in terms of TeamWork since the horrid first game vs Gutter ..!

i think if this hapless coach of ours doesnt impede our team's natural progression as unit(like with his retarded Subbing of our number 14 in today's game), then we have enough raw talent to get by your team...!!
yet i highly doubt we are capable of further advancement without proper professional coaching and preparations for such tourney..!

RAZOR-SHARP RAZZAGHPOUR SPURS IRAN INTO QUARTER-FINALS

Manama: Abolfazl Razzaghpour’s first-half free kick earned Islamic Republic of Iran a 1-0 win over Yemen on Thursday evening as Amir Peiravnai’s side booked their place in the knockout phase of the AFC U-19 Championship Bahrain 2016.

Iran secured their first win of the competition after draws with Qatar and Japan to join the Japanese in the quarter-finals with a second place finish in Group C, setting up a meeting with the winners of Group D in the next round.Razzaghpour’s goal came in the 45th minute and was enough for a dominant Iranian team to take all three points despite a lack of clear cut chances throughout the 90 minutes for either side.Iran spent most of the opening 35 minutes camped out in the Yemen half but, although they dominated possession, Amir Peiravani’s side was able to create little due to the organisation and discipline on display by the Yemeni defence.Steadily, though, the Iranians moved closer to the Yemeni goal. Mehdi Mehdikhani fired off a long range attempt that curled well wide in the 39th minute while two minutes later he headed just wide from only six yards out. However, it always seemed as if it would take something special to break the deadlock and, on the stroke of halftime, a moment of class from Razzaghpour put the Iranians in front when the left back curled his free kick into the top corner of Salem Al Harsh’s goal, giving the keeper little hope. The second half followed a similar pattern, even if Yemen’s Zakarya Tawaf had a sight of goal two minutes after the resumption, only for his low shot to be easily gathered by Shahab Adeli.Reza Jafari hit the woodwork with his close range header after fine work down the right by Majtaba Najarian allowed the winger to clip the ball into the danger area while just minutes later Omid Norafkan thumped his drive from 35 yards over the bar.Reza Shekari went close with a fine individual effort in the 73rd minute when he turned to shoot from outside the corner of the penalty area, only for the ball to fly narrowly over Al Harsh’s goal. And Razzaghpour’s long range attempt 12 minutes from time also cleared the goal with distance to spare, but it mattered little as the Iranians picked up all three points to progress to the next round.IR Iran coach Amir Peiravani
"I’d like to thank my players because they played very disciplined and were well organised. These players are all young, 18 and 17, and they had a lot of stress because they were thinking that if we didn’t win they would have to go home, so they were nervous."One or two days ago the Yemen coach said they could win against us because he wanted to put pressure on our players, but we were unlucky in this game. We could have scored three or four goals. We’ve already forgotten this game, because from now the first whistle for the next game has been blown and we have to go into that game with a good mentality. I must talk to my players because the next match is very important for us."Yemen coach Mohammad Al Nufiay
"We have to say congratulations to Iran and Japan. Today this was our last game and we tried to do our best. We were very close to getting the three points, but the players were hurrying and not concentrating. They were tired after three games because the preparation for the team wasn’t enough for us. The Iranian team focused on free kicks and this is the only weapon they used against us, even the mistakes we made made their job very easy to get the three points."

As I figured. Everything is BAzaari in this stupid country. They figure well he doesn't ask for much and we don't have much expectations anyways so give him the job.

Can I go to Iran and coach? I have no coaching credentials. I believe I would do a better job than many of the coaches over there. Maybe I could make a career out of it.

I totally agree that these players are nowhere near their full potential and we had no clear tactic, but taking into account the level of preparation, the quality of the technical staff, and the investment, we still managed to get out of our group which was a tough one.

I wish someone like Kia or Hashemian was in charge.

Australia's Turkish coach things they had "a lot of possession" and that Uzbekistan and Tajikistan "sits back and then counter-attacks" lol no wonder they lost 3:0 (not counting two penalties the idiot referee gifted them).

Soltani has been solid and I think he's going places. Our left back was Abbasian who has also been very good. Gholami (CDF) has also been solid.

I thought Afkan (or Nor Afkan) was kind of invisible in this match though. Chaab and Shekari both overrated players with bad work ethics.

It was obvious that the Yemenis were promised financial compensation by Qatar if they got a result. Never seen an already eliminated team so angry towards the end of a game.

BTW all the teams that have won this tournament in the last 20 years, with the exception of Iraq have been eliminated.
