He probably didn't actually have offers from Europe. I doubt he's stupid enough to pick Kuwait over Europe. He has never played for tm and has never played in any major youth tournament. I doubt euro scouts are watching persepolis or the acl.

In rooza, the worst fear of Iranian football fans are when their players join arab teams.

Who will join a club in his right mind, if the name of club is like FUCK IRANIANS? I am still puzzling with this.

Kuwait can't even be considered as a professional league...

These Iranian players need to keep their mouth shut when they're asked "would you go to arabic teams if you get an offer". They are making themselves look stupid. They should instead say "It all depends on various things. If I get an offer from Europe that would be my priority but if there isn't any then I would consider it".

Which makes the decision even more stupid IMHO. He's just starting to get noticed - to tie himself into a shitty contract at this point is the epitome of stupid.

On the other hand, these Arabs are smart - as soon as he got noticed and picked for the TM camps, he had the offers come in. They know that they can buy him cheap now and if he succeeds with TM they can sell him for a lot more later.

Going to Kuwait is one thing, going to a club that is named after a anti-Iranian battle is another!
I am amazed there are more anti Al Q move campaigners here than there are in a very government that fought that war, baba perspolis officials blessing this move are government placed officials

So much for calling him 'Arab kosh'

But lets not jump the gun, we need pictures seeing him sign the contract until we can be sure what is what.

The name refers to the battle of Qadisiyyah where an army of bandits beduins with help of former Arab vassals of Sassanids attacked Persia when Sassanids had already received a major defeat from Romans and were very weak. Turkic tribes of Gok Turuk empire also attacked Iran from Caucasus region. Following Roman invasion of Persia, in 4 years 12 Sassanid kings and queens ruled and were overthrown by rival noble families and famine had ruined their economy. Sassanid treasures were looted by Romans and Persia was broke while these bandits attacked. The rest is just history... just to let you know our last great general Rustam Farokhzad was killed in that battle.

Arabs usually exaggerate about this battle and use is to curse or insult Iranians in general. Iraqi invasion of Iran was famous as Saddam Qadisiyyah.
