The name refers to the battle of Qadisiyyah where an army of bandits beduins with help of former Arab vassals of Sassanids attacked Persia when Sassanids had already received a major defeat from Romans and were very weak. Turkic tribes of Gok Turuk empire also attacked Iran from Caucasus region. Following Roman invasion of Persia, in 4 years 12 Sassanid kings and queens ruled and were overthrown by rival noble families and famine had ruined their economy.
