No easy games in football if you don't have the right attitude. Turkmenistan lost a few days ago to Guam. Disappointing result for Iran.
We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.

ehh, not the best result but also not the worst result! heydari either needs to be benched or CQ somehow has to get him in the midfield. heydari should not be invited let alone be playing CAM. masoud had a pretty bad game. the goal was mostly hajsafis fault and part kannani, he should have gottena touch to the ball rather than just watching. sardar was unlucky! that header that hit the post could have easily gone in and everyone would be praising him. so sad to see amiri have a horrible game! during the first half i asked myself is he even in the game? an okay result, not the the end of the world! we will still make it out at top. see you guys at the next game!

looking at the bright side, we got a bad game out of our system, now we can take the games serious from here on out!!

it is clear some of these young players are not TM material.

            Bummer about the result!

I'm sure everyone missed Dejagah, Jahanbakhsh, Hosseini.

Obviously the team needs a bit more time to gel and in a few games we will be fine.
                Theres only seven games left.

We should not be to worried but this is alarming, I did not see anything positive from this game.

Our players seem to lack urgency for most of the game. I watched Japan's game and although they tied too, they seemed like they were on the tips of their toes. They were playing like they needed to win, and were unlucky.

We play very nonchalantly against weaker opposition and we deserved the tie honestly. We didn't play well enough to deserve to win.

This game reminded me of how Esteghlal played under Ghalenoie.

90 mins attack from the right flank with Khosro Heydari crossing the ball and Enayati (Sardar Azmoun) getting in the box to score with a header. Once, Esteghlal failed to score, Ghalenoie would just bring on two extra strikers who would get into the box and header the ball (Taremi and Gucci).

                      Poor.

Why did we continue to cross for 90 minutes when it had no effect, while the player going for the brutally predictable cross had 3 long range shot takers wide open on the outside of the 18 pretty much every time? Ando took one shot, and that attempt alone had more effect than all of our crosses combined. And can Shojaei please stop making us a 10 man team for 45 minutes and call it a career? O and also we should really replace Hajsafi on LB, he was so inviting to the Turkmenistan team he might as well have served them chaei. Ando could you also maybe aim your crosses? Also if Amiri & Ebrahimi could had touched the ball at least once that would have been great. And lastly Reza, these Arab countries are treating you well please continue to stay there, you have really improved. Thanks boys great game against Turkmenistan! Go ahead, blame the field, or the refereeing.
Because their football IQ sometimes falls to 0,and they need some psychological evaluation.

Why does he includes him when he is so shitty. The team has no creativity no alternative plan. We are only good for defending against strong teams and that is all about our team. Against weak team our creativity is gone.

Insisting too much on physically strong players results in killing the play making, creativity, technicality, and so on. Khalat bari or other gifted player could create so many opportunities for us here. We were lost up in front with only Azmoun, in the middle and our defense was shaky. Team needs a complete change in all areas. Our players need to work very hard on controlling the bass and right passing. We lose the ball quiet often.
As I said, we are so used to defending at all cost that whenever we have to mix it up and play more offensive against minnows, we constantly lose the ball and fail to keep possession.

But it has to be said, horrible tactics used by CQ today, I feel like despite having a below average performance, the players tried to get the goal really hard, but what they were trying was completely pointless. We kept crossing it and they kept winning most aerial battles, yet we still insist. CQ failed, no matter the result.

Disgraceful result and performance, everyone from the staff to players need to wake up now because this is unacceptable. We were so bad it made me dizzy.

only so much can you blame the bad pitch (it was pretty awful), the Turkmen's negative approach to the game (whole 2nd half spend in their defensive half), the time wasting tactics (especially that last half hour)... but CQ isn't immune to criticism, even by those who back him the most.

He and the player must take the brunt of the blame for this result. We were so poor, regardless of the opposition. He did nothing to change it up, threw on Gucci who to pretty much no effect and had no plan b approach to the game. Their keeper was poor and we didn't test him nearly enough. Whats the point of crossing the ball every time when all 11 players are camped in their box?

Still, it's one result and the group for us is going to hinge on our head-to-head with Oman.

7 games left. I would love to see the faces of those who say "calm down" when Guam snaps the top spot of the group.
