Pathethic and unacceptable result from TM made by Carlos Queiroz.

I don't care if we missed key players and the Turkmens provided us a shit pitch or grassrolled, there should not be a single excuse to tie this game knowing that it might come down to GD on the final match day, let alone dropping points against an Asian minnow.

We tied today because of collective failures. Our players could not pass properly and did not have any creativity up front. Making useless crosses moment after moment is not going to win you games against teams who park the bus.

Carlos Queiroz also deserves to be blamed because he did not met the standards to approach this game in an offensive way. His line up was mind blowing to begin with. Heydari on the midfield? Are you kidding me? His times are long gone and he keeps being invited. Hajsafi as LB is the RECEIPE to failure as we have seen during Iraq and Uzbeks yet CQ keeps putting him as LB! I simply do not understand and I am seriously worried concerning our remaining wcq campaign.

And please stop justifying this result because this should have never occurred in the first place. We are Iran, we aim to be the best in Asia and we can't afford to get such a trash result against Turkmenistan. Japan can do whatever they want, but our team must get their shit together. Stop being so soft to our players, in Europe they would be all over them after such a game. Don't get me started about NEC fans, I was in the stadium and after one goal conceded I could not believe what I heard. We Iranian fans are too soft when we shouldn't be. We must be harsh, but give them credit when it's due and today the team and staff deserve to be questioned.

Good start..no finish as usual in the last line.Zero excuses abt the grassrolling or bad pitch.horrible gameplan by CQ and poor game by the new younger players, i wasn't impressed by any of them.Need to go back to players were use too using and can get us results.Very dissappointed. The hype abt younger players hasn't lived up.but with a transition you are going to get results like this in any team sport.Guam is in 1st place with 6pts, Iran can't take any of these teams lightly and need to put its best line up forward from here on with a way better gameplan.

Playing 4-2-3-1 against Turkmenistan who are going to park the bus from the start is a tactically very poor move.

I dare to seriously doubt CQ game Plan. This ultra defensive formation and losing technically gifted players for physically stronger players is killing our creativity and play making ability up front. We are now literary left with only one medium forward (Azmoun) and our plan has been to create opportunity from side wingers and go back to a defensive mode all the time. Our center mid that should be a crucial part of planing is ineffective in our matches since we dropped Khalat Bari. The only thing other teams need to do is to have strong side LB or RB to cancel our winger efforts or have tall CBs. Our style of playing is good for Europe when with this formula you can draw or win over strong teams and you barely see weak teams. This is based on that football and it is ineffective in Asian level when we are not necessary playing with strong attacking football like Australia, Japan or S. Korea. Why should be defensive is front of Asian minions?

Don't we have better MF than this miserable Heydari? Taremi should not be play as starting line up. He is not a sharp striker and he tend to go for foul most of the time which referees does not grant him, so losing the opportunity in the way. HajSafi is not a LB for hundred times. If we use Amiri up in front we need a DMF to cover behind him since this dude does not come back. This makes HajSafi as LB and Amiri as LW a stupid formation. Why while Seyed Jalal is not in the team we are losing Pouraliganji in the CB position? I know Kanaani is good new CB but he needs to have an experienced CB helping him there not he being covering for another CB. Our defense was absolutely out of place in this match. there is no excuse for CQ here. We have always gave him credit for his organized defense but this was garbage to be honest. Torabi as I see it now can play after min 70 to overcome the tired opponent defense and MFs not from the start. He is more like early days of JB in NEC in Left flank coming after 60 min and causing problems. Ando is not showing any leadership quality so far, I will be watch him for few more matches and if he is acting the same I will consider handing the arm band to Hajsafi or Seyed Jalal.

We need to bring more creative attacking MFs and FWs to the team. This team has problem scoring against weak teams, we will be screwed against Oman. Next game against Guam we need someone to score early. Guam can defend well and just like today make our match garbage. Just watched their games against India and Turkemenistan and found out they are physically strong and can defend in a very closed formation something that we have trouble with.

I suggest we invite creative players like Alishah, Motahari, Nariman Jahan, Kaveh Rezai, Musalman, Yaghoub Karimi, Ali Karimi and such and get rid of Heydari as soon as possible and forget about Hajsafi in LB. We seriously need a replacement for Pooladi but not Beikzadeh, Gordani, or Sadeghi they are not good in this position, they are slow, injury prone and old. We should find someone as soon as possible. Vouria Gafouri and Beita should be our RB no one else is needed there and we need to bring PAG to DMF position and test him there while Ezzatollahi is growing to a new Neko. Kanaani is giving us a little assurance in CB position if he has a good compatible CB like Seyed Jalal working with him. We also need to give the Beiranvand some playing time. Haghighi is getting rusty there without a challenge.

CQ grade for today match. is a big F

1. Not using Pouraliganji in CB or DMF
2. Khorso in AMF, come on man even a 6 year old knows that is a recipe for disaster.
3. HajSafi in LB. How many times should we concede from this space before CQ knows Amiri/Hajsafi formation does not work in left flank
4. Not bringing a creative CMF like Khalatbari or Nariman Janan
5. Insisting on crossing from the side when it did not work
6. Very poor ball control and many mistakes in passing. this is not in our level to have this much of mistakes. No Asian team in top 12 teams makes this much mistake that our team does, we had this problem in AC as well.
7. we lost too many last touch opportunities today it was like the player did not want to follow the ball to the end and were not thirsty enough for the goal. Motivation is lost there.
8. Our team was nervous and played in hurry and disorganized.
9. Our team were missing leadership and central figures in defense, and midfield.

I was hoping CQ has a better game plan in the pitch after AC 2015 debacle and team promising result in last march, but I am losing my hopes in this. Our team had no creativity what so ever and played with no clear plan. This is not strategically players to blame but absolutely the coach to grill him for. It was a tactical failure for him. Our players were partially at error too but a clear plan and alternative ways could help even young players to perform better if they encounter with close doors in side crossing method.

Now I am just waiting for his explanation in 90 to see if he worth our support or not. Criticism aside. His type of tactics in the match can not help Iran to go beyond this level of football. He need either find new alternatives to change this situation or should let go after second round of qualification.

Exactly what I was thinking. If we had won this group by winning every game with 4+ goals, we would have fallen badly in the next round when opponents are suddenly tougher.

Only when we become humble we start using our potentials.

Maybe it's too early to judge but I feel like Ando is no where close to being a good leader as Neku. I never saw him talking to other players to get their shit together. If Neku was in the field today he would have started pumping our players spirit. Ando hasn't played well in the past 2 games either.

I guess he needs some time to adjust and realize what an important role he has as our captain.

I wish Javad Nekounam didn't retire already. His absence had a huge impact on our performance today, I really miss the real El Capitano.

From the moment he was gone I knew TM is going to have a hard time to find a potential replacement.

So many people don't realize his value, one of the best Iranian legends for sure.
