Didnt get to watch the game. Seems like gucci was awful which happens when you play in the arab leagues. Can anyone tell me how ezzatollahi played? also is dejagah injured?sigpicComment

Gucci wasn't necessarily awful. He is just too small to be a target striker. He still drew a few fouls, but he messed up 1 goal that was handed to him on a silver platter, which is why so many people are turning on him. It was bad, but he wasn't horrible, just 1 horrible mistake, and just being generally weak with his dribbles/headers. He was not horrible, but not good either. I'd classify him as okay today, but with 1 really stupid mistake.Originally posted by wildcats View Post
Ezatollahi made around 5 bad passes that allowed for counters, but he really grew into the game. He became more confident after some early mistakes and was cutting passing lanes, stealing the ball, and doing some creative through passes. Maybe 3 really nice passes on goal from the DM position. I see something special in him, but he is still very young. This game was great for him and his maturing career.

Haghighi - 9 (great goal keeping, loved the double save. He is quick)
Ghafouri - 9.5 (amazing hustle, he has serious speed and threat going forward, needs to just get his crosses right)
Montazeri - 7 (poor first half, good second half)
Kanaani - 8.5 (nice performance, hope to see him tested some more)
Hajsafi - 6.5 (waste at LB, he is a versatile player but LB has to be his weakest position. We need him attacking and farther up in the field)
Ando - 5 (poor performance by him, too many giveaways and fouls, had a off day)
Ezzatollahi - 6.5 (started nervous which is understandable, but had a stronger performance in second half, he will need to develop more but has a bright future)
Shojaei - 3 (too slow to play in this team, he killed the counter attacks.)
Amiri - 7 (He has a lot of speed and confidence, if he tunes up his finishing he will be a threat)
Taremi - 6 (didn't see too much form him but he is a strong player and will have use in our team)
Ghoochannejhad - 3 (bad miss, then did nothing, had a off day)
Subs:
Torabi - 9 (nice goal and work out there)
Heydari - 7 (I have critiqued him a lot but he was so much better than Shojaei, yeah azmouns shot hit hte back of his heel but he played well)
Mohammadi - 7 (good work over all)
Ebrahimi - 3 (I think he touched the ball twice)
Azmoun - 6.5 (good hustle, unlucky not to score)

why are people so harsh on shojaei. I thought he didn't play that bad, other then the 2 turnovers in the middle of the pitch.Comment

My main reason is that he is too slow to play this style of football. We depend on our quick counters, and plays start from a Center Attacking Midfielder, he loses the ball far too often because he is so slow both in movement and decision making. He can't keep up with this team if this is the tactic we are playing.
