Second conceded, 1-2 now. Not really much Davari could do on the second. Defensive collapse. One mistake cost them the game.

Lost 2-3 in the 90th minute. Terrible loss, and Davari played poorly tbh.

He's honestly always sucked at 1v1 situations he always positions himself in very strange ways coming off his line and try's to save shots with his foot. First goal was just a stupid/silly mistake. The third was just terrible he was right there in that 1v1 and should've made that save

To be fair though his CBs let him down too.

Strong exit, should have just left it for the defender after that. Damn it

I've seen him do pretty well in 1 v. 1 situations in the past. I actually thought that was one of his strengths in the past, while he was weak on crosses and airballs. I watched the full 90 minutes, and could tell that he didn't look confident. He got an early ball in his control, and he tried to drop the ball and kick it, and totally missed the ball giving it to a striker. He was making a lot of mistakes this game, and this was his worst game since his return. He did not look confident, and conceding that first goal so stupidly definitely got into his head.

At least we know he's Iranian! Overly emotional and beats himself up for mistakes. Hopefully he can rebound and help them survive relegation with a few games left.

I agree. I thought one of his strong sides was 1v1 situations.

He had such a nice exit on that first goal, but then messed it up with that terrible pass when he should have just cleared it.....

So is no one gonna blame that defender for that? Cause he just causally let that goal dip into the net.

Geez, the ball was kicked from some 20 metres away. It was chipped in so it didn't really have much power behind it. Yet that defender waits till it gets so close that his useless header effort does not help keep that ball out.

All three goals had errors from Davari and the defense. Davari's errant pass was just very apparent, although you are right that the defender could have tried harder. Football is a team sport, so a loss can usually not be attributed to one player alone. Still, Davari could have had a better game.

I'm not in the camp of saying, "one bad game, the guy is done!" People have bad games, especially after two years without any competitive matches. The remaining games are winnable for Arminia, so hopefully Davari can do better in the forthcoming matches.

"Davari: "As a goalkeeper one is always the last line"

Arminia Bielefeld struggled for the VfB Stuttgart (2: 3) in the evening of the Monday night at the Alm, but they are still in the end after an impressive encounter. A mistake by keeper Daniel Davari initiated the turnaround. The anger and disappointment were great after the match, but the players also take courage for the further relegation.

The penultimate against the second - actually, the forces were already clearly distributed before the duel on Monday evening between Bielefeld and Stuttgart. But the Ostwestfalen shocked the ascendant from Schwaben already after a quarter hour by a hit by Christoph Hemlein, who punished Insuas position error, and went with a guidance into the break.

After the side change, however, it struck twice in the box of Arminia-Keeper Davari within three minutes. The 29-year-old is even able to take his own shot: a goalkeeper from the Stuttgart area who hit the ball in the 51st minute, but the ball went straight into Maxim's legs Meters into the empty housing. "In the corner of the eye I saw another player from us, but there was no one at all. I just need to clear the ball," Davari later tried to explain the mistake on the "Sky" microphone. "I'm very sorry for the team, it's decisions that you make in tenths of a second, as a goalkeeper, you're always the last depp, because you're making the most important mistakes , I have to do better, then nothing happens. "

But it happened - and initiated the turnaround. So, three minutes later, Simon Terodde turned the game in favor of the VfB. Yabo's equalizer came in the 73rd minute, but Terodde had the final word with his second goal of the evening and brought Bielefeld a significant point in the relegation. "It could have tipped on both sides, too, we had our chances," said coach Jeff Saibene appreciatively. He was proud of his team's performance: "We fought for 90 minutes. It was a pity we were not lucky enough to be on our side."

Yabo: "You can not blame anyone"

Even his players were of the same opinion. Goal scorer Yabo: "You can not blame anyone, it was passion, we were brave, we played well, but today it should not be." The Arminia players agreed on the point that a point win would have been deserved, "but Stuttgart has an individual class and they showed it at the gates," says Julian Börner.

As bitter as the defeat for Bielefelder in the end was, the fact that the team against the - now table leader - VfB Stuttgart for a long time against, held confidently in the fight for the class retention. "We can not take it out of the way, we've taken a good path and will continue it next week," said Börner, and Yabo said, "Now we have to take the good things and Saturday points." Then it goes to 1. FC Heidenheim."

Arminia Bielefeld coach maintains his support for Davari after the Stuttgart defeat:

"Up to 1: 1, he attests to his team a good defensive work. "It's clear that the VfB will have chances in the end." Keeper Daniel Davari is not to blame for the defeat. "I called him yesterday and gave him my 100% support.""

Good, no professional coach would give up on a keeper for one bad game. He played pretty well since becoming the #1 according to the reports in this thread. Nice to see he actually called him and instilled confidence in Danny boy
