Ando is not fit to be captain. I still disagree with CQ decision. Ando is a good quality player but he is no leader. Hajsafi should be captain. He is young and can captain the team for 8+ years. If ando gets injured (especially now that he is in Qatar) he will not recover quickly. Plus who knows if he does not retire before wc2018 for "personal reasons".

If Ando has 2 qualities, they are pride and ambition.

As some1 said correctly, IF Cashkan and Guzzi can go there, then Ando should be no problem at all for us fans.
He served so many years for TM and his career is reaching the end. I am fine with this. The younger players are my main concern.IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

For those pissed at Ando for joining al shottor, please, give the man a break. He is a true warrior, leader, and one of the fittest guys on TM, according to stats last WC. He ran the most of any Iranian player and gave his all. It is ridiculous to say he is not TM captain material bc he joined Al Soosk, because, if he had joined Naft, Esteghlal,ETC nobody would say a thing. The reality is, the level of IPL and Al Soosk/Shottor leagues is very, very similar. In fact, The majority of facilities in Arab countries are better because of Al Sheikhs. So Stop this BS nonsense. Ando is a leader, with experience in the top leagues of Europe. So yes, he decided to go to one crap league over another because in Al Gutter he gets paid more money. He is still the man to lead to TM to next work cup.

Our players have this issue with wanting both khoda and khorma but reality is you have to earn your stripes. Likely we are seeing the end of Ando's TM career whether we want to admit it or not.

Qatar is a disgrace to football. Seriously. Eventually all these Arab teams with money will succeed until the day the oil runs out. They have ruined modern football, take a look at Man City. They even offered to pay Munir El Haddadi to play for Qatar and get paid millions. Hopefully Ando will understand he is playing in such a dirty and horrible league.

nooshe joonesh....at this point in his career i really dont care. the man deserves to get paid, as long as he plays with the same gheyrat and passion for TM as he has the last 9 years i do not have a problem with this move at all. dont forget nekounam was playing for al kuwait so this whole "captain setting a bad example" thing is bs. once a player hits 33-34 you can really blame them going to persian gulf leagues after years of having to go through heaven and hell to receive half your salary? dont be arrogant.....Team Meli Iran

Malavan Bandar Anzali
