Does Dejagah always seem to be the first player who needs to be subbed ?

I don't remember anytime in recent memory where Dejagah wasn't completely gassed after 55-65 minutes or so. I think compared to most of our regular starters, him and Shojaei are definitely the players that are first to get tired. Compare Dejagah that played vs Qatar on his debut, he was a star, and sprinted 90 minutes, attacked and defended, this is a different player, and with his disappointing club move I worry that he will get even worse.

I posted his stat in some other thread and can't find it at the moment.
Dejagah was most of the times a substitute in his entire career.
If i recall correctly he was subbed in or out in more than 65 % of his games no matter which team.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

Zlatan Ibrahimivic. He is still a beast and exception to the rule.

Ok found my own post lol.

These are Dejagahs stats. Club performance only:

He played a total amount of 320 games.
202 times he was in the starting line up and was subbed out 118 times!!!
95 times he came in from the bench

= In more than 66 % in his club games he was subbed in/out.

But there is one difference between Dejagah and the rest. When he is playing, he is constantly moving. The man is always in position all over the field and doesn't hold back. We have players on at the same time who are trotting or even walking but Dejagah is in every fight or moving to a better position when off the ball. I'll never forget his first TM game, the man was making so many overlapping runs into space and was not being fed that he must have thought do TM players not pass into space??? His footballing IQ off the ball is world class but unfortunately much of it is for nothing in TM.

Even Shojaie, I am not a fan of his game, but when on the ball he is always trying to do the extra. Compound that over 50 or 60 min and it's a lot of spent energy that other more direct positional players are not burning.

Well Dejagah has always been using as a free role attacking mid. He isn't really a winger so he tends to run more than most other players on the roster. Furthermore he is probably the worst player defensively on TM so it is important that you take out a liability late in the game.

This is not true. While i agree that isn't really a winger, he never played the free role attacking midfield. Actually he was used as a striker (mostly 3rd or 4th option) for Hertha Berlin and Wolfsburg.
Also i disagree him being the worst player defensively. That award goes straight to Shojaei without doubt.

Disagree on Shojaei being the worst defender. Shojaei isn't consistent, but he is no way worse defender compared to dejagah.

Didn't really follow Dejagah before he joined TM so can't comment. For TM he is a free role attacking midfielder. Unfortunately there are no stats in terms of kms walked for TM games to prove my point.

Well, actually defender is the wrong call.
Many overturns and counterattacks are direct result of shojaei losing the ball easily. Let's agree to disagree here

Dejagah is not a liability on defense. Dejagah's defensive skills are actually respectable. He is one of the few players we have that have shown what it means to be a 2-way player
