Time for a short review, here is mine:
IMO Branko already found the best line-up. Only few changes and additions and we are more than ready to go for the championship! Out of the current squad I would go with this, based on what we have seen so far:

Makani
Rezaeian - Bengar - Umana - Ansari
Nourhollahi - Kamyabinia
Alipour - Mosalman - Alishah
Taremi

I will close my eyes and give Makani the benefit of the doubt until the end of the season.

For the CB position we need a boost, I don’t fully trust Bengar, Noormohammadi, Umana and Maric to be honest as they are not consistent enough. Still have absolutely no clue why Branko rejected Jalal Hossseini.

First player we should try to get back is Mohammad Nouri. Having him as a backup, as a super sub. would be just lovely!

Branko sticks to Ahmadzadeh a lot and starts him pretty much every week. I don’t deny his potential, but I would like to see more of Alipour or Kamandaani, both deserve more playing time as well! Remove Khaleghifar; sorry I don’t see what he has to offer - let’s rather add another young prospect instead or bring in someone like Gholamreza Rezaei at least. I feel bad for Bengtson, too good to sit on the bench! Classy player as he never complained, butperformed whenever he was needed. Maybe Branko needs to find a way to use him alongside Taremi?


- Ahmad Nourhollahi might be the most unique DM of the league, simply because he posses so much individual skill. Have you noticed that his shots are getting better? At the beginning many of his shots ended up in the sky, but the last weeks he just been unlucky not to score

- Another unsung hero, Mohsen Mosalamn who has done a phenomenal job to conquer the midfield and add the necessary stability and creativity we badly needed. The heart of the team! I just wish we could use more of his FK skills and let him have more shots on goal.

- Ansari is the biggest surprise for us this season. I think considering his age and lack of experience he has done a fine job to cover the LB, which was one of our bigger weaknesses.


Key factor is not to get ahead of ourselves, thinking we are the best and unbeatable. No, keep the same spirit and just think about the next match, because there is a lot of competition. Sure, we already proved that 1vs1 we might be the better team indeed, however at the end this is a marathon.
Zob Ahan plays consistent and well structured football. Esteghlal is just damn effective and knows how to get the points. We have to see if SS Khuzestan, Saipa and Saba can keep it up till the end and whether Naft, Sepahan and Tractor can really get back on track as well.

Last but not least kudos to Branko! Some decisions at the beginning were quite skeptical and his knowledge of all players was not that well. Insisting on using Hatami or Khaleghifar out of position, Mosalman's late addition, weird substitutions during the game...were some annoying points against him. Nevertheless throughout the season so far he did a remarkable job to constantly emphasize that he believes in his players, defending them despite all the critics. He proved to be right, such a confident and well experienced coach! We proved each week, slowly fixing our defensive issues and working on our finishing as well to finally get the right results as well. Fluid and entertaining football that resulted to an amazing support by the fans. I have never seen Perspolis fans being so united and hopefully, though we had a horrible start into the season. This is really special and was unexpected! Good to see that finally several of our players are making it into TM again as well....

I'm with everything PK said....as much as I like Bengar, umaña, and maric neither of the 3 are consistent and perhaps adding one player there would help us out. Maybe we could go after someone like Daneshgar? Kanaani will be back from malavan next season so it's important to keep that in mind too.

A foreign GK would do us justice just to keep Makani on his toes.

For the first time we have a very well rounded team and I can confidently say we barely need any additions. Mosalman is playing like a beast at the CAM spot btw I don't see him getting enough praise. Hope CQ is watching!

Perspolis in talks with Bayern Munich and Dortmund to play a friendly in the UAE. Game against Bayern seems to be unlikely, as they are heaving their training camp in Qatar, but Dortmund is going to be in Dubai at that time. If it doesn't work out, Perspolis will play UAE teams.

Hahaha Afazeli might Join Perspolis as a Coaching Staff.. My Condolences to Perspolis fans.... This guy has nothing to offer and somehow he is still in football and apparently he hit a women in Fedrasyoon but did not get in a lot of trouble... I dislike this guy very much...
