Is this a coach issue or a DNA issue?

We NEVER i repeat, we have NEVER had any kind of technique in any sports what so ever.

The only thing we always had is HEART, thats why we are good in wrestling and sports like that.

Whats up with that? Are we not training on having a technique, or is it just our DNA who says " baba bezan bibnim chi mishe" Thats is exaclty what our football is, just clear the ball, doesnt matter where is goes, just shoot, doesnt matter how you should take the shot.

Every game we won is by luck combined with our great fighting mentality. But we have ZERO technique.

Why is it like that? We cant blaim IR for this, we cant blaim sanctions for this.. why is our sports like that

Definitely a DNA *cough Ali Karimi* issue

Also you're basing this on a beach soccer loss lol

In general.. i even doubt karimi was iranian lmao. Just kidding, ali karimi is an individual player, i mean as a team we have no strategy, no technique

You are very wrong by claiming our shortcomings are due lack of technique.
            It's not the technique alone.

Actually technique is a small part of the giant cake called success.
What we iranians lack is a combination of a lot of things.

Blaming IR and sanctions are the other extreme which is only an excuse imo.
In Iran, people who are in charge are actually not qualified for their position. It's all politics and agendas.
It starts from the sports ministry to head of IFF and so on.

Those sports which we are really good in are thanks to professional people in charge along with a bit of organisation.

The list of factors are long but the main issues i can think of right now are:
            • Corruption must be fighted
            • Long term plan
            • Infrastructure
            • Professional qualified people in charge
            • Proper youth program
            • Proper facilites which match international standards
            • Psychologists must be hired to work on our athletes no matter which sports. This is a mammoth task for the iranian mind actually. Handle pressure, handle bad refereeing etc.

            and so on.

We could easily be a dominant nation in almost every sport with the right plan and people in charge.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

our athletes certainly do not perform well under pressure and sure do choke often enough..!! especially our footballers..!

in general, we certainly lack that bit of confidence and winner's attitude that gets u to the Next level and higher echelons of athletic achievement..!

we simply dont deal well enough with the Psychological aspect of the games..!! once its a do or die situation, we most likely fail..!! even if favored..!!

iranians perform much better as an under-dog..!!

Wrestling, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Futsal, Taekwondo, Shooting and maybe a couple others are our best sports in terms of how well we've competed in them internationally. Football on the other hand is a sport in which a team can be based purely physical and beastly players or players filled with technique. It's true that some countries just have it drilled in their minds to think technique over physique and some like Iran think vice versa to this, or at least that's the way they feel they can play best.

But also if Iran miraculously became a team full of technique and flair like Brazil or Spain then we wouldn't be "Iran". Of course it we be awesome to see mad skills and crazy overhead kicks etc but when Iran play like Iran and do it at their best they are a truely well drilled physical side.

Technique will come though. Ezzatolahi, Azmoun, Jahanbakhsh etc have shown it in Europe already.

Some people need to learn accepting losses. The nature of the game is either you lose or win. When we win, Iran is the king of Asia for some people and when we lose Iran is worse than Maldives! Quit this mentality and grow up. It is only sport so stop making ridiculous DNA issue claims!

Remember: There are Iraqis and other haters among us who read the debates in this forum and may open new threads or contribute BS to makes us look dumbs and idiots. So please do not feed the trolls or open ridiculous threads. I have seen Iraqi fans giving links from PFDC in other forums to picture us as bunch of idiots, so please behave and discuss professionally.

Sir, if it is in our DNA we can do a research study test to figure this out. We first have to decide which organs take part in this. We later have to isolate those cells from Iranians and Non-Iranians and observe intracellular and extracellular protein and Nucleic acid component via chromatography technique. If you are willing to fund this research study I will full heartedly do it. (whoops I said I'll do it with heart not technique )

hahah what a stupid question. Humans have the same exact DNA and physically we have the same exact limits. What differs is not whats in our DNA but instead our preparation, our resources and our desire and good preparation, resources and a desire to win is not predetermined in our DNA.

Asking this is like asking if Argentina can't win tournaments because "it's in their DNA." Argentina won a couple of times in the past, and Iran are 3 times Asian Champions in football, have won many trophies in other sports. Recent results are not indicative of a country's DNA. We are a higher level sporting country than most. Despite people thinking that I have some bias against Iran, I know how well off we really are in international sports. Of course, things could be better, but that doesn't mean they haven't been good in the past. A quarterfinal loss in consecutive tournaments (AC and Beach) doesn't mean we have some problem that is in our DNA. Argentina were world champions many times with Maradona, but recently, they have been on a run of bad luck in tournament finals.

Football, and really any sport, is based on preparation, skill, and luck. When Iran played Argentina in 2014, they may have had more skill, but we had better preparation, which was important. Their attacks were unorganized, and based purely on using skill, while we were strongly organized. The main difference between us was luck on that day. Luck has not fallen on Iran's side too much recently, but it definitely has in the past.

Iran possesses a good amount of skill in many fields, but we will truly excel when we have strong coaches in both youth teams and in senior teams. CQ has been great for TM, but in order for Iran to truly emerge into world football, we need a stronger youth system. Hopefully, sanctions will be lifted, IPL can be improved with private investment for better facilities, foreign players and competition, youth teams can get better coaching for development and our players can develop and become stronger. If we had a stronger league, investment in youth development, and a little bit of luck, we could make it far in the future World Cups.

Are you nuts dude? Iran is full of technique. Best in Asia in pretty much every sport besides outdoor soccer. (admit it, our ranking means nothing). All our teams can compete well at a world stage level. For example, Iran's volleyball team.
