Let's be honest, we all thought a transfer to Rostov was an awful move for Azmoun. Turns out it was probably the best decision he's ever made, lol.
well, i didnt mind the transfer between the two teams , per say..!
but the unprofessional way he went about forcing Rubin's hand into that loan move, may yet come back to bite him in the ass in the next off-season, if Rubin decides to play nasty back.. !!?
according to some here he is still officially a Rubin contracted player till 2017..! so, they sure can prevent him moving to a better league/team by asking a high transfer/loan fee again..!! like Rubin did to Arsenal a year or more back..!! many here say it was all bazar garmy bs..!! but im fairly certain that Arsenal did approach Rubin for his services but the transfer fell through mostly because their offer simply failed to meet Rubin's valuation for Azmoun.
Arsenal at the time was in the market for an established, proven goal scorer and were saving most of their transfer budget for that. They obviously saw good potential in Sardar, but mostly wanted him for their Academy team, if he could be had cheaply, sorta under 2mil..!! but unlike eredivisie teams, Russian league teams arent some cash-starved , broke ass teams ke zogh bezanan bara oon poola o saree befrestanesh ..!
also that Inter Milan approach for him early on, was indeed legit interest and not bazar garmi as folks claim..! i think after Azmoun's excellent showing with our youngin TM in some Asian competition, Both Rubin and Inter sent solid contract offers his way & Sardar chose Rubin mostly because of their Turk-man coach, Berdiev, tbh, playing under Berdiev is the biggest reason he forced a loan move to Rostov this season too..!
The Barcelona rumor though, was either a mild interest/ just an inquiry by FCB or pure bs , bazargarmi by his agent...?
^ Rubin is a very greedy club. They will block Sardar's transfer to other league unless they receive a ridiculous fee. They have been sharpening their teeth from day one on a fat deal over him. They have invested in him for that matter. Next year will be a hectic season for Sardar dealing with their demands. Now, he has fun.
We are on the 69 page! Sardar's number back in Rubin and Gonbad Kavus (His hometown) vehicle registration plate's number, which is why he wore that number.
So, thank you the beautiful city of Gonbad for giving us Sardar. It's always a happy occasion when kids from outside of Tehran and other big cities make it big and make all of Iran proud.
Rostov host dynamo Moscow who have been struggling this season after losing some key players. Given that this is a home game rostov have an even better chance . Rostov's form has been excellent recently which was again proven in their last match away against second place lokomotiv, where sardar grabbed a nice assist.
He did not start last week but given berdyev's meticulous forward rotations, and his good off bench form (goal, assist), in addition to the fact that he has had some good rest after a congested schedule (cup, league,TM -2 hard games, League again) he is likely to start again. If not he will get significant (30plus) mins off bench.
A win for Rostov means they could go second if lokomotiv lose away to Kuban Krasnodar. lokomotiv have a tough game against besiktas in EL coming up so they may rest players, be preoccupied, etc. GO SARDAR
