I've noticed this trend where when one Iranian goes to a club, other Iranians go there or get linked there as well. Word of mouth perhaps?

Maybe it was a suggestion from Karim himself. Or they looked at Karim's resume and saw that he played for Persepolis. So they looked into the club in search of forwards and chose to contact Alishah.

Persepolis is a Greek word, so that could also be a reason why they looked for players in a familiar naming club.

It's honestly the perfect time to leave too in many ways.

Team Melli is slowly gelling together and finding form in this round of qualifiers. He knows if he plays abroad his chances of invitation are higher.

Not to mention, Khoda biamorz Hadi Norouzi's passing has left a hole in Persepolis player's hearts. It's smart to leave a depressing atmosphere and focus on progressing as a footballer.

Karim Ansarifard will be there with him so he won't feel alone.

I think this is a perfect offer for alishah. Given his limited TM involvement, and lack of hype (there was hype around Azmoun, JB, now Shekari) its hard to see a more notable team making a serious offer with serious playing time for Omid. This will be a platform, with a solid greek team, that can, due to his young age, earn him a move to a bigger team in the future (in Greece, Russia, maybe France) who normally due business with midtable greek sides. Greece has some top teams (olympiakos beat arsenal, Panathinikos are solid in EL, Paok are off and on in CL, always in EL) so this is a great opportunity for him to test himself against those teams, in a situation free of relegation fears, which is ideal for him to blossom. Lets hope it plays out. Panionios doesnt seem like a team to BS or bazaar garmi about anyway, so seems legit.
