    I have been to quite a few matches when he was still at NEC. I also had the opportunity to met him twice in person, he has a very warm character and attitude. I sincerely hope he succeeds at AZ!

          So Alkmaar's next game is the Europa League match against Partizan on Thursday. Is he expected to play? I sure hope so

                Thursday the first group game of the EL against FK Partizan Belgrado starting 21:05 CET.

                It will be a tough night in Serbia, they are notorious for bad fan behaviour and hooliganism.

                    Alireza Jahanbakhsh maakte afgelopen weekend zijn debuut voor AZ, met een basisplaats in de uitwedstrijd tegen De Graafschap. De zomeraanwinst, die voor enkele miljoenen euro’s overkwam van NEC, deed een uur mee en verliet vervolgens het veld. Donderdagavond zal hij geen rol van betekenis spelen in de eerste groepswedstrijd van AZ in de Europa League.De Iraniër ondervindt te veel hinder van een bovenbeenblessure en is er tegen Partizan Belgrado dus niet bij. John van den Brom laat Jahanbakhsh thuis voor het duel in Servië, zo is woensdag duidelijk geworden. Ben Rienstra en Rajko Brezanzic, die net als Jahanbakhsh in de zomerperiode werden aangetrokken, zijn wel van de partij in Belgrado.AZ bereikte de groepsfase van de Europa League door in de derde voorronde af te rekenen met Istanbul Basaksehir en in de laatste voorronde met Astra Giurgiu. De Alkmaarders spelen in de groep ook nog tegen Athletic Club en FC Augsburg. Jahanbakhsh hoopt er op 1 oktober wel bij te zijn wanneer Athletic op bezoek komt.

                              I went to a red star Belgrade game last month in Belgrade. They're fans are over hyped nothing compared to azadi
