    Alireza Jahanbakhsh @ AZ Alkmaar | 2015 - 2016

It's official: Alireza Jahanbakhsh signed with Dutch top side AZ Alkmaar for 5 years.

Great to see him secure a 5 year contract as well! Hopefully he will spend 4 of them in one of the TOP teams of Europe. Good move for him and his development as well. Hopefully he will feature in Europe this year as well.

Wow, just wow! Those comments on voetbalzone bring tears to my eyes.. Both nec and az fans are so full of love for this guy, not to mention other topclub fans who regret their club didnt buy him. Got to love his personality and mentality, he really made us proud! No doubt that if he continues this way, he will become one of the best in eredivisie. Also many thanks to NEC and NEC fans for being So lovely and wonderful. I hope they can find a very good replacement for AJ and do well in the competition.

Wow this Alkmaar team is very very young its amazing. Jahanbakhsh is not even 22 yet and they have 9 players younger than him!! So hes pretty much average aged in that team.
Hope he can impress especially in the Europa League

1st interview with JB after AZ signing, whoever translates this is a legend
                    Quick summary:
He's happy with the move. He had offers which much better money but he chose what his heart said and would rather take the development route.
He had offers from other leagues like Germany and Spain but he told nec from the beginning that he wanted to stay in the Netherlands.
Playing in the Europa league is a big factor in his decision as he says he always strives to play at higher levels.
He says he is fully healthy now.
He says he won't be able to play in their Europa league qualifier away match in turkey since the team is already gone, and he might not play the first eredivisie game vs Ajax because it might still be too soon.
He says Queiroz didn't specifically say anything about alkmaar but Queiroz had said he wanted him to stay in the Netherlands.

Guys I believe it is important that we respect, congratulate JB agent who we gave a lo of abuse to in the previous thread. He got JB the best possible career move to a great young team with Europa league football as well and a reputation for developing excellent young players, and moving them on to bigger teams. We were all freaking out bc " our best player only can go to second division in England" while Their crappy left back goes to udinese. Our agents have no connections and suck" well now, our best talent got a move to an excellent team in Europa league which udinese are not , and is almost certainly going to be a starter. Just shows that good things come to those who wait...

If AZ can get in the top 2 this year Alireza will even play champions league next year. PSV lost depay so it az could be better than them this year.

Not only depay, also their very influential captain wijnaldium, furthermore feyenoord also lost some of their best players like jordy clasie. So this could be a great season for AZ
