He was good but not great. Had some good passes and played very well of the ball but didn't receive good passes from team mates when he was open.
He didn't really do anything wrong , he just wasn't involved in the goals directly.

the key is for the team to win,now try to be consistent and try to catch second team , by the way if they win the cup, they go europa or champions league?

I believe it's an automatic Europa League spot.

FYI, AZ plays Ajax away next week. AZ has been on a winning streak, so it will be an important match for them. It's good to keep momentum going. A tie would be good for them, a win would close the gap for them and be an excellent result. Hopefully Alireza does well and has a brace or a hattrick to cement himself as a top Eredivisie player

I haven't seen anyone saying this, but this team was crap the half of the season that ARJ was injured, couldn't score. Now with Alireza back and in-form, and the addition of Vlaar in defense, this team looks like a much better team.

That Gijscoman guy (I forgot how he spelled it) or NEC is okay predicted AZ would do this. They know their stuff. Good prediction that AZ was a team that streaked near the end of the season. When we were all screaming about the sinking ship (typical Iranian behavior, that even I was feeling due to Alireza's injury) these guys knew that AZ was going to surge.

The gap between 3rd and 6th after 24 match days is small:

            4.FC Utrecht 38 PTS
            5.Heracles Almelo 38 PTS
            6.Vitesse 37 PTS

Damn AZ kicking some butt in the last two matches against quality opponents. Anyone know how long of contract AJ signed with AZ? Thinking about buying the jersey.
              EAT. SLEEP. TM. REPEAT.

It's because it starts from January 2016. God bless you.

Jahanbakhsh with the most dribbles of the eredivisie last round.

"Alireza Jahanbakhsh Dabney and dos Santos were in excellent form against FC Groningen. The wing attackers AZ undertook last weekend more dribbles than any other player in the Premier League then. Dribbling Champions Jahanbakhsh (10 dribbles) and Dos Santos (9) waved."

Truly hope so. Although he's yet to establish himself as a pillar of TM.

Big cudos to JB who came out of nothing moved to Europe and fights his way through. Probably the most promising of all the talents in Iran

Way too early to make this comparison. Mahdavikia was shining in one of the world's best league Bundesliga for a club with rich history like HSV, while Jahanbakhsh just started to make some improvement with AZ in an average league like Eredivisie. Let's not forget he was struggling just few months ago.

Dutch site Soccernews.nl have named Jahabaksh and Jannsen as the 5th best offensive duos in the Eredivise:

"The 10 most effective duos in the Eredivisie

#5. Vincent Janssen and Alireza Jahanbakhsh

Janssen after the winter break in top form and is now on fifteen goals. The top scorer is therefore the most influential attacker AZ, because the counter Jahanbakhsh shows only two pieces. The total therefore comes at seventeen, which is good for a fifth place."
