saw most of the match before leaving for my own game, look like they got a lucky draw..!! Fulham was all over them like a cheap suit for majority of the first 60min that i saw..!!
their offense and mf seemed especially hapless..! if Reza wasnt injured, very likely woulda been playing significant minutes in that match..!?
their big signing/best striker from last season Vetokele is rumored to be on his way out on loan ..!
rumors have it, due to lack of squad depth, Charlton forced him to keep playing while carrying an ankle injury..!( hope CAFC dont pull that shit with Reza..!!)
vetokele's wife apparently pissed at the club and wants him to move away..!? he doesnt seem to have recovered fully yet, and has struggled after the initial ankle injury so the loan moves seem to be on hold for time being..!!
youngster Ahearne-Grant didnt impress me much, he seems not quiet ready for this level of football and a step behind all game long.
Their main striker Watt, also has been struggling of late..! it seems that he has been rather greedy and ballhogging a lot and rest of the league has figured how to stop him, hasnt scored in 5 or so games yet.

the big striker, Mackinock is also injured and may be out about same time as Reza..?

Stage is set currently for Reza's return to action at CAFC, I just hope he has recovered well enough, hopefully he can reach full fitness and game readiness a week or so afterwards..!!?

Leeuwarden - After the sadness of Orange is a happy time for a weekend with club football.

Gradually better with Cambuur goes, but victory still waiting on. AZ Saturday night against the men of Henk de Jong, the possibility that victory finally booked. Every now and then it is nice to look back on happy moments or great players from the past. This week is such a time, and each one a former player Cambuur in the spotlight: Iranian Reza Ghoochannejhad.

Reza began his football career in Leeuwarden at LAC Frisia 1883. After his debut in the Premier League already had made, he focused on his studies and went on an amateur football at Go Ahead Eagles. In Deventer he made such a good impression that he was offered a professional contract during the winter season 2009/2010. However, Reza chose above Cambuur Go Ahead Eagles and so the present was 28-year old forward again up in Leeuwarden.

Fantastic debut

At Cambuur he made a debut which many a footballer only dream of. In the home game against BV Veendam he made nine seconds after his first goal <click here>. After this goal, however, was the Iranian fairly dry, only in the legendary 8-1 home victory against FC Oss he remembered the net to find that season. The following year it went much better, with many goals and great moves, he was often best player. Especially in the second half of that season he scored a storm. In the home game against FC Emmen he even made his first hat trick.

TransferInterland Career

Reza came in his youth from the various representative teams of our country. A breakthrough in Orange never materialized and in 2012 he first came out to the Iranian national team. In 2013 he shot Iran to the World Cup in Brazil by the only goal in the match against South Korea. During the 2014 World Cup he played all games in the group stage. He even managed to score on the highest podium of the world that was against Bosnia and Herzegovina (3-1 loss). He is known by the fans and management, not too expensive for a NT-player and he certainly can score +10 goals in Eredivisie. I think he can be useful for them if they want to stay in the highest division this year.
