Reza just posted this on his Instagram page:
    https://www.instagram.com/p/BAK44znpGFM/

Why do I get the vibe that he's going back to Qatar again?! -__-

How sad that would be for his career and our football.

some people just dont have ambition. and he happens to be one. He sees $$$ and thats it. If he was 30 I would understand but not when he is 27.

His instagram is cringe AF. What's worse is that he's been bought up in Europe.

Kam kam we should call him Reza Ghooti or Reza Qatari.

He probably has a great life there. It is kind of arrogant to assume you know what is best for these players. Remember football is their job. Not their life.

If he goes back to qatar i might have to start calling him khatibi 2.0 or enayati 2.0...two of the most dirty bad words i can think of...

A Championship player like Reza Ghoochannejhad still makes more money than an average person with his fulltime job, why would anyone at his age trade it for Qatar? It shows that Reza has zero motivation, zero ambition to perform at the highest level possible and just wants to make some more bucks till his retirement. I thought you become a footballer because you love the sport, and live for it day in day out. Now if he was 35, done with Team Melli and declining...let him play in Qatar how much he wants but until then we will bash him for his poor career choices, and rightfully so.

Its sad to see how many players of various countries play in top divisions of England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France and more, yet we cant even have 1 regular player in an average team in these leagues
There are players from countries that barely have stadiums. I was in a small island of Curacao in Carribean last month and even they have a player in EPL.....this guy Martina who scored a crazy goal against Arsenal in that 4-0 loss to Southampton. We need to be able to produce something soon, otherwise our football will just get worse and worse.
I don't agree with the comparison you make, Curacao is basically part of the Netherlands since they are colony. Many people from Caribbean descant live here, and that Martina guy was produced by the Dutch football system. We definitely shouldn't downgrade our team just because minnows like Curacao or Arminia have one star player in a top team once in 40 years. That's irrelevant, the same Curacao couldn't get past El Salvador in the World Cup Qualifying.

So? Money isnt everything. Maybe he likes living there. Maybe he has friends there, enjoys the atmosphere. There is a lot more to a situation than just how much you get paid. It's easy for us to sit here and tell someone that they should kill themselves in some B league in Europe instead of enjoying their life in some shit gulf league. Its not like he's that young anymore. Just saying I think people should take a step back and not expect every one of our TM players to kill themselves trying to make it in Europe. It doesn't always work out.

Would I love for all our players to break into La Liga or EPL? Of coarse. Gulf leagues are shit. But its their life. Sometimes remembering that this is just a game puts things in perspective.

All you say is true but isn't being a professional athlete also about pushing yourself and improving?
I remember a guy like tomassi from Roma was taking less than 4000 monthly simply because he did not want to play at a lower level.
The day an athlete is satisfied that means their career is over.

Yes it is, generally. But there is a point where you start to consider quality of life as well. It's not like he hasn't battled in Europe or just taken the easy road everytime. He's gotta be realistic. I don't blame him at all, he's 28. Only a few years left to cash in.

its not just curacao, its a lot of countries that have players in the top leagues. All the teams are sprinkled with various talent from around the world. You tell me we cant have a couple of them there ? at least we used to but now our players are barely warming benches for 2nd division teams.

Correction: Only a few years to cash in if he chooses not to ever work at all in a few years.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.
