Sorry, I am not the type of member to make a thread for every thought, but this is something that kept following me:
I have been watching Omid Alishah closely for some time and this guy has a monster stamina!! Of course I don’t know all IPL players, but I am willing to come out and bet he has the best stamina of the league - man the guy has 4 lungs!
2 scenes on top of my mind:
Perspolis playing Al Hilal in the knockout stage in front of a totally filled Azadi stadium, breaking another ACL record. Huge pressure on the players and the last chance to keep the fans happy this season. It's close to the end, 0-0, and the 8-0er defender tries to head the ball out and clear it - Alishah however pressures the defender and chases the ball as if the match just started. With a tackle he pushes the ball to Taremi and goal - a last minute win. Few seconds later everybody is waiting for the final whistle, Ali Hilal putting pressure and Perspolis trying to secure the lead. Ball reaches Alishah and he just kicks the ball up front, running like a horse and easily getting past 1-2 8-0ers - only with a foul they were able to stop him, hence Perspolis saved valuable time and the win was ours. Not even once Alishah showed glimpse of tiredness, despite such a crucial match.
Now today in Khuzestan: The referee gives both teams a water break, the weather is extremely hot and the commentator can’t even recognize the players in the second half anymore due to the heavy dust. Perspolis is losing and needs to score - everybody looks tried; even a horse like Taremi is breathing hard. And Alishah? lol still running, getting past players and creating the last chances for Perspolis. What does it take to make this boy tired? I don’t know...
This player can be a pain in the a** for any defender. With his short stature he is pretty flexible, runs & hustles the whole time and gives no one a break.
