Persian Gulf League - 2015/2016 | Week 3 - Date/Time (+ LIVE REPORT)
I genuinely hope we file a complaint to the league....this was awful officiating. The first half was beautiful, a couple of questionable calls on both ends. The second half was complete opposite with this brainless official and his equal assistants.
Are you suggesting that Sepahan the previous champion bribed the referees so they could beat Perspolis who ended up at 8th position last year? I mean come on if we were playing against a top team you could come and say that but against Perspolis? LOL
I have accepted many many loses in the past and have no problem with that, but we were more or less robbed today. The referees just spit on the second half and made the match totally uneven. Unfortunately the referees only seem to get worse each season in PGL...the nature of PGL as rugs niceley said. From players like Alishah I would expect something like that and know they have no class when it comes to diving, but Hajsafi??? Quite disappointing, although it does not take away anything from his quality and superb performance today.
We will have a lot of fun with the trio Taremi, Alishah and Alipour. Their speed & skills are penetrating for every defense. Later on I am sure Ahmadzadeh & Bengston can join their flow. And once we have a playmaker behind them they will be fed even more, very promising! Perspolis overall is not as hopeless as it looks like, we just need to fix the damn defense and we are as good as Sepahan - the supposed best team of the league. Makani, Nourhollahi and Mosalman coming back will boost us a lot, so keep the head high!
PS: for all the haters, I am not saying Sepahan bribed the referee or anything like that - they are the last team to resort to such a tactic. But fact is, the referee was just piss poor, that's it - oh and please spare us with comments like "mistakes happen all over the world". No, if you truly follow our league you will see the amount of mistakes each season is seriously not "normal."

Excuses over Excuses..
Sepahan was so much better. PP's Defense is Azadegani.
Poor Taremi and Alipour, wasting their time in Longpolis FC
i swear esteghlalis care more about persepolis losing than esteghlal winning. if this same game happened to esteghlal, you would be crying about this match for the rest of the season. obviously you didn't watch the match. and how is that an excuse? maybe you should look at defintion of excuse. i said if divesafi got a penalty for his dive than alishah should have had a penalty.
Im an Esteghlali and I can affirmably say that the Hajysafi PK was a bad call. Saying that I think Sh.Gordan saved two 100% goals. So Sepehan deserves to win.
"History is a set of lies that people have agreed upon,"
Cant believe Branko would take the current CB's in pp over Hosseini. Khalatbari is also still the best attacking player in the ipl.
Hajsafi did dive, but kafshgari put a hand on him and tried to drag him back, which he shouldnt have done since it gives the player a reason to go down and refs call penalties like that quite a bit.
Highlights here, congratz to our yellow brothers anyway regardless of what happened. Fact is the Sepahan & Perspolis encounters are always one of the most entertaining games each season, can’t wait for the match in Azadi
Khalatbari is one of the best players that I have ever seen in regards to finishing goals from odd angles. He hits them with ridiculous power, and finishes a lot of goals nicely despite the difficult angle.
As a Sepahan fan, I am very happy for our victory but ONE big problem is killing our team...... and that is our back line...
The back 4 got burned and Gordan had to bail us out on numerous occasions.
Having watched the pk scene again I have to say that there was some light contact but he went down way too easily. Although it looked like he also got stepped lightly on his left heel, still him going down like that was exaggerated.
Overall it was a good game and imo PP was not any worse than Sepahan today. Both teams created good chances and a draw (which I preferred) would've perhaps been a more fair result.
Ref was bad but Sepahan outplayed PP today, I don't know how it could be seen any other way. Fair play to Persepolis tho they seem to have improved, at least going forward
One of my favorite moments: when Hajsafi skins Rezaeian

Bro. before the PK both teams were on a par, in fact Gordan had to save Sepahan 2 times! After the PK Sepahan was better for sure, but it was mainly because they had nothing to lose and we were forced to play offensive and open up our game even more. That's why we complain, as that "free goal" changed the whole flow.
And for the love of kor-kori, here is one of my favorite moments:
When 19 years old Alipour skins Karami, Gordani, Gordan and Aghili one after another
Persepolis played well today. One of their better games in fooladshahr in recent years, but you guys just cant break the spell. 12 years without a win against us in Esfahan. welcome to your yearly crisis. We will win in Azadi too, no need to blame the ref. Hajsafi destroyed PP today he was all over the field deking pp players left and right.
