bro chill, we are THREE games, THREE, i repeat THREE games into the season. Esteghlal is ahead by just 5 points. please don't be one of those people that goes crazy saying "persepolis is dead last, they will relegated for sure", people did the same thing last year with REAL MADRID. its 3 games in to the season......and atleast we have a proper coach who doesn't make excuses after a loss which im sure mazloomi will do today. just wait till the midway point of the season and if persepolis is still last, then you can make this comment.

Looked like had it not been forRahmati's great saves, the game could have ended in 4-0 or something like that. BTW Esteghlal's defense today looked pretty shaky

I think Zobahan is once again pulling another gradual and steady game pick up as last season's. I see them as one of the top 5 teams by the end of the season.

TS so far has been quite inconsistent, however given their decent squad, I think they will soon pull theselves together.

From the looks of it Sepahan so far looks the strongest and most consistent team, should they keep their current performance and good shape, no doubt they will yet win another title!

unstable managment is the only problem. the players in this squad are good players and should be top 5. the problem is, if branko doesn't do well this season he will get fired, but the club needs long term stability and they should let branko stay atleast for 5 years NO MATTER THE RESULTS

Also they don't have 2 of their best players! Luciano and Padovani. When they come back they will be near unstopable, I am afraid Sepahan will run away with it again.

Also Hassan Beyt Saeed is turning out to be a real talent, shows just what a B team can do in developing and giving opportunities to players. If he continues his form (3 goals in 3 weeks) he will be called up to TM. Best signing of the season, Foolad were stupid not to sign him. Fast + technical player.

Zob is looking great and it did have its toughest match of season today.
regarding PP I think Branko has made a mistake to bring and croat and use him instead of Bengar. Bengar was giving 200% of himself and he did have leadership to offer. The other mistake was to let Gabriel and Nouri go at the same time. he should have kept at least one for the midfield.
PP had a few chances and the dumb referee did not award them a penalty. He was a one sided referee and he did give yellow to the wrong side that did not deserve it.
Even if I were not PP fan and saw two foreign teams playing like that I would have said there is something wrong with the calls.

Perspolis use to fight for the 1st spot and look what they've done to the team that you would be happy in top 5. They have done so bad that the fans would be happy to just participate in ACL

Apparently Esteghlal isn't happy with the referee and filing a complaint against him, I wasn't thoroughly tuned in as I was watching it while working, can someone elaborate please?

As a fan of PP I would say any other team could have possibly lost playing at 45 degrees C. So I forgive Branko for that.
For the match against Sepahan, the referee changed the game result . He should be retired or fired and send to catch morvarid in the persian Gulf. Soou can add atto least 1+1 result to undo the unfairness in the standing. 2 years in a row PP has to play in khoozestan province in middle of summer. Losing in the beginning of season has tremendous impact on morale of the team and players but not on all fans who know the causes.
All of the referees need to take ethics class just incase some forget fairness.

Did Kaveh Rezaei play? If he did, how was he?

He is a playmaker, hustler with some great speed. The dude can run and easily get passed the defending/racing along opponents. Love his style

Esteghlal is build on Khosro Heydari - the majority of chances are always started by him, this season he looks even stronger due to his new position. However once you manage to take him off, likes of Mazloumi have nothing much to offer. Mazaheri saved Zob Ahan at the beginning, but as soon as they got the lead everything was on their side. Zob Ahan's counter attacking game is unmatched in PGL, it's very hard to come back when you let them score first. Later on it was Rahmati who saved SS.

The referees in general are piss poor in PGL. In the match in Ahvaz SS should have gotten a red card, that would have killed them in the 2nd half due to the weather. Branko did a lot of mistakes, but I can't deny he suffered from poor referee decisions the last 2 games.

He basically assisted both goals, although a bit lucky because SS defenders could have easily cleared the ball, put they pulled a "Perspolis" lol. He almost scored as well, but Rahmati denied him with a good save. Overall Rezaei is a huge threat, just needs to get sharper.
