[RUMOUR] Mehdi Sharfi to Rapid Wien

I always thought Sharifi had an X factor.

Two seasons ago when he was starting to breakout for Sepahan, he scored some goals out of literally nothing.

That is a good quality to have in a centre foreward.

P.S. He might be too late to be on FUT even if the deal goes through I'm afraid [emoji17]

With "Chimba" out at least til mid-season, i highly doubt they'd let Sharifi go anywhere and if anything, they'd ask for such a high amount of money to make it impossible.

There should be a rule in the IPL that if an Iranian gets an offer from EUROPE, it will only be their own decision to decide to accept the offer or not. No other parties will be involved but the player himself.

And later they could call it the 'littlepersia17 rule' [emoji1] because I thought of it.

after Sepahan won the league last season Sharifi made it clear on navad program that now his intention is to leave to make his name in Europe. I hope it happens for this lad. I think he understands that his circumstance to progress in IPL are limited.

Why not? His speed, agility, shooting, etc. are all as good as any Iranian. He's also pretty strong/tough for someone as thin as him.

This isn't the first time I've seen you doubt him idk why you got something against the guy.

I think Kiarash was saying that Sharifi is good. The original post was saying that Austrian league was the perfect level for a player like Sharifi, and Kiarash was saying that Sharifi could be in a higher league, like Eredivisie.

At least that's what I got from reading the original post and his response.

Sharifi is a player above the level of IPL who will soon stagnate like Ansarifard did when he stayed in IPL too long.

I think everyone here would agree that any decent Euro move is the right move for him. I hope he is actually released, as many of us had high hopes for Mohammadi, but his team ruined that transfer. Most of us thought he was a free agent, and then his team swooped in to ruin his opportunity.

Hopefully Sepahan will do right by Sharifi who did so much for them last season, and let him go to progress his career.

Everyone should stop bickering, especially when the issue seems to be that both sides ultimately agree.

I think its a peopblem that he is so small! I hope he can come to Austria. Austria would be a great country for iranian Players cause they cango to germany really fast.

Players can have clauses in their contracts that state such things that they can be released if an offer is received from Europe or even a minimum fee received release clauses. IPL couldn't enforce this in every player's contract.

Also, another note. Sepahan could also ask for a percentage of his next transfer fee in order to make more money after his sale. These things are pretty standard practice. For example, they could ask for 25% of his next transfer fee to be included in whatever price they negotiate.

Be aware, when an iranian says he want to go to Europe, that means it only in Barcelona, Real Madrid, United and co. Others than that, they would refuse any others clubs and stay in their beloved IPL team.

Let me tell you a few words about Rapid:
Rapid is the greatest club in Austria. They are record champions and are on the verge of qualifying to the UCL. Also, their fanbase is huge, they make an amazing atmosphere and have fans everywhere in Austria. They are like our own Perspolis. However, as they have a huge amount of fans, they unfortunately have not the classiest fanbase and I have expierenced that with my own eyes. I don't think they are as classy as NEC fans.

According to Krone, Rapid coach Zoran Barisic praised Sharifi and told: "He can play in any league of the world."

What a load of nonsense. If he can play in any league in the world then why not just sign him now? Why does he have to go on a trial then?
