Ghotbi was recently coaching in the Japanese league and also assisted a former well-known Dutch international in managing a national team from CONCACAF. I think he is a great choice for taking charge of Iran's U-23 at this point. Please let's not get stuck in 2011; the guy has been moving forward and gained a lot more experience!!

from purely tactical discipline and team fluidity speaking, Khakpoor's OmidTM performances (few that i saw) seem still a far cry short of that of Mansurian's a year or so back..! but his is a work in progress and continually showing obvious gradual improvements.
The fact remains that, he stepped up to help our boys (for seemingly Free so far??), when Omid was in complete shambles and IFF could not convince any other coach domestic or foreigner to take that job..! he improved the team's performance gradually and mustered some very impressive results in process, topping it off with a trophy ....! Not too shabby at all..!!
i also think its too late to search for another coach as a straight replacement before the Olympic Qualifiers..!!
i think IFF just needs to give the man his backpay and boot it up with a significant raise for job well done so far and put him back at helm of Omid at least until the end of Olympic Qualifiers..!
a better option but obviously not reali$tic, would be to hire a more experienced coach and retain khakpoor services as an advisor or assistant, or vice versa..!!

So what the frak do they want?!! Goes to show that they only want to destroy our football no more no less.
goozdarzi, kashani, and many such corrupt ozgals in IFF are just there to constantly create Instability and impede overall progress of our football..! and use the subsequent hiring and firing processes to Line their Own pockets ultimately..!!
ps
that reinstatement of Khakpoor news doesnt sound all too Official and done-deal to me Yet..!! according to their own news bit he is currently in talks with Kafaash for such possible move..!!?

sadly, it also is just about the only way to force a real paycheck instead of IOUs from IFF and to get them to address your complaints about the working environment.
it aint like our players or even CQ been immune to practicing such loosbazi antics..!! they've proven quiet an effective method, especially if timed right, as in Khakpoor's case ..!!
