I agree. That penalty was absolutely ridiculous on our part.

I have to give credit to the Mohammadi brothers. They did well today.

Also, Amir Arsalan Motaharri played with heart. Not just because he scored but because he truly played his heart out.

Iran played poorly, in my view.

Saudi's had a better ball control.

Iran missed good chances. Saudi's second goal could have been avoided.

I saw Tabatabi (Iran's goal keeper) come and talk with Khakpor. Those who said Khakpor is a good coach saw that he was not a good coach.

Iran played poorly in second half. No fun to watch un-motivated Iranian players.

There is no game plan other than relying on offensive players' creativity. Khakpour is not a coach. At best he is a trainer for youth clubs.

Has been this way since many years when khakpoor took over.....they have not developed one millimeter in this perspective since 2-3 years ago. Never liked this khakpoor or mehralidoosti.....

Bench un-motivated players or players who miss many chances.

Also, Saudi team should get credit for good goal keeping and passing the ball around.

so since we dont have any tactics and stuff cant we just focus all of our training on Fitness and cardio? both games the boys gassed out around the 65th minute mark. akhe to practice ke gohi nemikhoran! i dont see any tactics being used so work on their fitness!!

Sucks that we drew them, we were definately the better team. Amir Arsalan played pretty good. Should've at least scored a hattrick.

If their goalkeeper wasn't Manuel Neuer today, he would have gotten his hattrick. Kudos to Motahari. It's players like him that make me more proud to be a fan of my team. Vaghean bazikone ba gheyrati bood to zamin emrooz. You could see the "taasof"
Look on his face when he knew he couldn't do more for the team. He's a good player and has a bright future ahead of him.

Both Iran and Saudi Arabia were played as if their balls were on the line.

This was a pure example of what a rivalry match is and should be.

Both teams played well and in my opinion this game was exciting to watch, despite the end result.

You guys really need to learn to not be pessimistic all the time.

Sure we didn't get the result we wanted, but I bet you even the Japanese and Koreans aren't this critical and pessimistic of their teams like we are. And that's one of the biggest reasons why we fail when we should prevail.
