Is it just me or are mainly all u-23 games today better than main national team that is filled with Hype of some old ass guys who haven't performed for ages?

Iran 1-0 Yemen, half time

We started well in the first half but it's a poor ending to the half. We should've killed the game off and instead we're letting them back in. We had over 60% possession at the midway point of the half and now we have 48%. Our keeper Akhbari has been great though, and I want to see Motahari come on.

We shouldn't be comparing ourselves to teams like Yemen. We've had one test so far in this tournament and we failed it by drawing Saudi Arabia.

Has Yemen's football progressed that much to almost outplay us, or is it our football in general to have constantly been sinking over the past decade?

Yemen up until not too long ago was nothing more than a pushover team in the region, let alone Asia.

Kind of dismayed with the state of our football all together!

U23 were passing the ball around better than our senior team, but then sat back to counter after the goal

Mohebi ( RB) , Saghebi ( MF) , play weak. Karimi, Pahlevan are slow.


Akhbari, Mohammadi, Aliyari did well.

They passed well for 8 minutes, not much after that. And they are not sitting back, we are still trying to attack, it is actually the bad passing that is ruining all our attacks. Sloppy passing and guys trying to dribble one man too many is what is stopping us from advancing to far up the field.

They stopped Qatar in first day too.
I will check it out , can't recall now but last year during Vingada. Yemen was in Iran group. They ended up above us.
