He would have been the perfect choice for TM Omid had we given him at least one camp and the WAFF to find his rhythm as a coach, but at this point we'd just be setting him up for failure - that's even if he were to lower himself to work with the clowns in IFF.

Another issue is availability of players. He simply cannot force clubs to release players for his trainings (his proposal). He believes he is not getting enough support and assurance here.
few Notes:
*CQ's high or not high enough Salary is a separate issue and shouldnt be mixed with this problem.
*Just the experience and the prestige of Coaching Omid can well be considered as Big part of Khakpoor's Pay Package..!! he can and should not expect to be paid money wise the same or anywhere near the money a well experienced and traveled Viganda was getting regardless of their eventual performance differences..! both parties got paid what their Market value was at the time of hiring..! FACT IS THAT VIGANDA GOT Whatever $300K ?? because if we didnt pay him, he coulda gotten such figure coaching elswhere due to his superior CV and work experience, nationality, etc whatever..!! Khakpoor couldnt dream of such a high profile job so early in his coaching career, even for Free..!!
*in light of his successful short stint with Omid, IFF/Sports ministry must give the man a proper Rai$e and prefereably keep him coaching Omid at least through the Olympic Qualifying..!
*KP and IFF must ensure whatever coaching courses or etc required inorder to seat on the coaching bench at the Oly. Q is taken care of and no such problems exist for KP come the all important tourney..!! if he cant meet it then we better off looking to alternatives already..!
*more importantly they must remove any such ridiculous restrictions that he shouldnt criticize IFF/SM or that he shouldnt have any opinions and power to influence gathering the lot of players he is interested in their service for this all important tourney..! off course this all to be done within reasonable expectations and Kafaash must remain the Head hocho who would have the final say, in case a conflict arise in situations like the CQ/Azmoun/ARJ or with the respective clubs of the players.

Can someone who has been following this team from a technical point of view give their opinion if they think that its improvement in unity and results are from the injection of a more talented group of players or that Khakpour truly had an impact on this team. In his interview he did mention that that was one of his main objective was to fix the atmosphere and culture of the team.
Or was it a mix of both?

Adjusted for adding Bonus and reward for advancing from first phase ( group) total salary per month is $ 7,3730.00.
Khakpour has not collected even one month of his salary yet.
Do you know how much is salary of Ghotbi ?

The team did look a lot more disciplined, calm and collected compared to even March where they looked highly emotional and disorganized. TBH that aspect of it was not very surprising as Khakpour has a very calm personality.

Re: Ghotbi or any other coach, we're not really giving them any time to work with the team before the AFC U-23, so as much as I thought we could find better people for the job 6 months ago, I think Khakpour's the person most familiar with the team at this point, and should stay on as a technical advisor or assistant at the very least.

Another candidate for taking charge the Omid NT is Naser Pourmehdi from California

but as S.Mark mentioned so far, poor guy has been paid nothing but IOUs from IFF..!!
therefore, like CQ or other iranian coaches/players, he is forced to resort to quitting theatrics or other shenanigans in order to force an actual Payment and/or a possible rai$e..!
IFF/IOUs is probably the Most Popular form of Currency in our domestic football transactions these days..!!?

from purely tactical discipline and team fluidity speaking, Khakpoor's OmidTM performances (few that i saw) seem still a far cry short of that of Mansurian's a year or so back..! but his is a work in progress and continually showing obvious gradual improvements.
The fact remains that, he stepped up to help our boys (for seemingly Free so far??), when Omid was in complete shambles and IFF could not convince any other coach domestic or foreigner to take that job..! he improved the team's performance gradually and mustered some very impressive results in process, topping it off with a trophy ....! Not too shabby at all..!!
i also think its too late to search for another coach as a straight replacement before the Olympic Qualifiers..!!
i think IFF just needs to give the man his backpay and boot it up with a significant raise for job well done so far and put him back at helm of Omid at least until the end of Olympic Qualifiers..!
a better option but obviously not reali$tic, would be to hire a more experienced coach and retain khakpoor services as an advisor or assistant, or vice versa..!!
