Ok list, the midfield is lagging it seems. We need a playmaker on our side, and heydari isn't going to cut it.

isnt it so strange that for decades Iran's players were most renowned for the technical abilities. Players like Karimi, Azizi, etc. were abundant. The number ten position was the least of our worries. The main issue was the players fitness and ability to be more powerful. Now Iran has those powerful wingers and box to box midfielders, and strong defenders, however we cant find a true, good number 10. WTF

I'm curious why CQ keeps calling up a different third goalie, and yet Haghighi gets the starting position. Nothing against Haghighi, he is a capable keeper, but I'm just curious why CQ keeps rotating the third keeper.

To give different goalies some proper training. Everyone knows that the 3rd string GK is just there to make up the numbers.

CQ has been our coach for 4 years, it's time for us to really understand based on what he invites players. Whether people like it or not, the TM list, especially at the beginning of each campaign, is not always about who is in top form and the best right now. Form is temporary!, if this was the criteria then we would have so many changes each time and our team could not create any harmony. Therefore CQ's approach is different and much smarter. He tries to consider the best available options with the most potential and then selects a certain skeleton he believes in. During the campaign he will make few changes here and there until he believes he has the best squad for the tournament. This is the main reason why we have one of the most passionate TM ever with a strong "family" atmosphere. CQ lets his players to go through good & bad times which bind them together. Remember how many of our "genius experts" wanted CQ to completely change the squad last WCQ? That would have been a fatal mistake, good that CQ trusted his players.

While people still try to come up with the washed up argument that Perspolis players get favored, its actually the opposite. On this forum alone Perspolis players get less support and are more hated than other players simply because every time people claim they are just invited because of their fame. CQ has shown over & over again that he absolutely doesn’t give a fuck about that. For a long time we barely even had Perspolis players, for the AC recently we didn’t even have one! So please don’t jump on the bandwagon, its really getting boring. Even Perspolis fans have been showing so much love towards other team players and often even prefer them over their own players!

Alishah is one of the talents that deserved it the most without any doubt. He has been working damn hard, kept a struggling Perspolis alive last season and still continues to shine under huge pressure. He was ignored long time, but did not complain once. CQ is familiar with the other options, now it’s time for him to test Alishah and choose the best out of the options we have. Also I am willing to bet that out of this squad Alishah has the greatest stamina, just please CQ teach him to stop with this embarrassing diving!

I am absolutely not a fan of statistics when it comes to judging a striker. Not that it does not matter, of course a good goal scoring rate is attractive, but there are so many factors and other qualities that should matter as well - but ok - still even if we look on paper: Taremi actually looks better than Rezaei. Take a look at the stats of PGL last season - while Rezaei scored 6 goals on 4 different weeks, Taremi scored 7 on 7 different weeks! So indeed Taremi looks to be a more constant scorer. Nevertheless I believe with Gucci & Azmoun we have our 2 main finisher and for now nobody can top them, what we need are few good hungry substitutes and we have to test which of them can perform at TM level as well. I am a fan of all - Taremi/Rezaei/Sharifi/Ansarifard...it will be a very difficult decision.

Overall we are lucky to have CQ during our generation change. Obviously we are on the verge of entering a new a era and CQ is preparing us for that. The only player left is Ando, while as guys like Hosseini might experience their last couple of years. No TM List will ever be accepted 100%, what matters is that our coach is keeping an eye on our talents and has already proven that often he picks up the right ones. Sooner or later all players will get their chance to impress or not. I am just hoping the several new faces will not be roasted in case they have a bad game - most people don’t seem to follow the league and still quickly judge a player after 1-2 TM matches.

Alishah is anything but consistent. He was absent all of last season. He had a decent half a season two years ago then he started to flop and try to win fouls.

He had what, 4 goals and two assists all of last season?

I have nothing to say to this, its pure comedy.

You clearly didnt watch a single persepolis game last season. Alishah was by far the most consistent player in the squad, thats what his praise was for by all the fans....he was even more consistent than our own captain for crying out loud. He ran his heart out from the first to the final whistle of the match....look at the first leg of against al hilal in tehran and tell me that he wasn't anything short of brilliant.

Numbers don't define a player as PK just mentioned. What makes a someone like alishah such a special player for us is his athleticsm and consistency. The problem with most talents in Iran is they show a few nice things and then flop.....alishah is certainly not a part of that category. Funny you mention Kaveh Rezaie whos stats arent significantly better....nor did has he even yet to have a complete fully successful season from start to finish and yet you are criticizing someone who performed better.

Most of Persepolis's ACL success came from him. And this was in the toughest group in the continent.....alishah easily could have and should have had 3/4 times as many assists in both the ACL and league if his forwards didnt mess up chances. its unbelivable that you would say such a thing, you're the first person I have ever heard say such an outlandish thing

and you say you dont have an agenda against tehrani teams and their players.....

Stop crying foul when someone disagrees with you, I expect a bit more maturity. If I was against Tehrani teams I would've been against Taromi, but unlike Alishah, he has been improving.

Maybe inconsistent is not the right word. I would say Alishah was mostly bad last season, and consistently so. And yes, I watched most of PP's matches, may have only missed 1 or 2. And if you watched any of the matches from last season you would have remembered the PP fans chanting against him and his dives. It was even on Navad when they interviewed PP fans about it. How many one on ones did he miss too? In fact he's lucky Taromi came along when he did and added some spark to the team.

I think what PP fans need to understand is, just because someone has a few good games, it doesn't mean they are TM material. Do you remember Madanchi? Sadeghian? Kazemian? and the countless others who had a few good games and were hyped up?

I would say if anything, you are showing your bias for PP, other wise you would be crying foul for someone like Beyt Saeed not being invited.

Sharifi should have been included instead of Taremi IMO, but still a nice list.

I sure as hell am not lacking maturity here.....you're making a ridiculous comment and I'm calling you out on it. Immature would be a personal insult or making invalid excuses which im doing neither of.

Bringing up his bad diving habit his a poor follow up to a reason of lack of consistency, if you dont like him because of that then you shouldn't like most PGL players. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree here because if you actually watched persepolis games and thought he played poorly, then I dont have anything to say to that other than this has to be the most outlandish claim I have seen since I have been on PFDC.

Again, you couldn't be more wrong about mine/persepolis fans bias.....if that was the case, name one time I or any other PP fan was heavily in favor of one of our players getting called up to TM? Last time I checked the last persepolisi i wanted to see in TM prior to taremi and alishah was hosseini and pooladi who were both phenomenal, was I being biased there too? Perhaps payam maybe but of course his attiude was shit so it was only the moron group that was in favor of him. Mamad Nouri, Alishah, and Taremi were all inn good form prior to the AC and yet you wouldnt see one person complaining about the fact that they werent included.....why? because they hadnt performed for an entire season yet. Now alishah and taremi have both proven to be two of the better forwards in the league....whiuch is why they both now deserve the call up.

nah, tbh, if you go back and watch the first 4 games of the season, taremi is better than sharifi. sharifi has 1 goal in 5 games, taremi has 4 in 4. and its not just goalscoring, taremi can drop and create, taremi has to be one of the fastest players in pgpl. i honestly think taremi is better than sharifi

Immature is calling my opinion "pure comedy".

Immature is claiming I didn't watch a" a single persepolis game last season".

Immature is saying the following "and you say you dont have an agenda against tehrani teams and their players".

All because you don't agree with my opinion. The mature thing would have been to ask instead of falsely state.

As for the topic at hand, most IPL players didn't dive so much that their own fans started chanting against them, or did you miss that part of last season as well? It's not just the diving, it's the idea of giving up on a play to try and get an easy penalty, which is what Alishah is known for.

Anyway, we shall see what happens to him and his career. I personally think it's a waste of time if players like Sharifi don't get the chance they much more deserve and that instead goes to Alishah.
