India @ home was a far more formidable opponent today than Guam was last week in Azadi ..!
Dame bacheha garm for not taking it easy & for running their lounges off today & for this relatively impressive victory ..!
If Indians bring in a better quality coach after today, I believe they'll fair well in remaining games ..! Their squad was far superior to that of Guam

That was the best performance of Indian team for a while according to their fans. If this is their best I have no hope for them in near future.

I can't believe Azmoun finished the match and didn't cry to get subbed out around the 60-70th minute mark. Our little boy is growing up.

well if egoist ashkan would have passed the ball instead of shooting in to the heavens he would have probably 1 or 2 more goals

well, Ashy certainly had the opening for those shots, so i dont think they were too selfish..!!? but his Finishing was horrible and left much to be desired..!! so yea, had he instead made the pass to Sardar, he woulda surely at least finished one of them.

well the thing is if you miss 2-3 shots like that you kinda ruin your composure by hoping to break free from the curse of missing. He could have hold up look around you and think a second on who to pass, cross and so on. But he didn't he went for the goal each time.

Let me explain a few things to those who are whining and complaining.

Everyone besides Akhbari got some playing time in these last two WCQ games. That was CQ's plan to give all the youngster's enough playing time in important WCQ games like this in order for them to gain experience.

The subs didn't matter. The game was in the bag in the 45th minute so as you can see he switched to a 3-5-2 formation and didn't specify jobs or roles for the players. Kaveh came in for Khosrow and went central for example.

The goal? We do this at youth level too. You send in random players when the game is in the bag in order for them to gain experience as well as another important point--- you send them into a disorganized team with no roles. This means the players must find their place and re-organize the play and those who end up doing so are the smart intelligent players with vision and thus will have impressed CQ. That is why we sucked in the second half, not to mention the players not giving a rats ass , i.e Ashkan.


Also, I hope this is Heydari's last game in TM. We got rid of Shojaei, Beikzadeh... Neko retired and now its time for Heydari to give way. Next up should be Jalal Hosseini and eventually Ando and Ashkan.


In a few years time we should have Beiranvand,Rezaein, PAG, Montazeri(Kaanani), Hajsafi, Ezzatolahi, Ebrahimi, JB, Azmoun, Amiri, Taremi. Subs like AliShah, Mosalman, Torabi, Shahbazzadeh, Kaveh etc means we have a bright future.


Lets seal the deal in Oman next month and start all our youngsters for the rest of the games.

We had about 19 shots and converted only 3.

Ando and Ashkan should be more careful on their shot on target. Vahid Amiri was not bad but should work on his passing over the goal. His passes were on goal keeper hands they should have more curl or with some distance from the opponent goal. Khosro again total useless. Haghighi was not 100%, but I guess he needed an official match to boost up his moral now since Rubin Kazan is ruining him on the bench. PAG should work harder on his defending skills without handing free kicks or get yellow cards. His errors caused us a penalty in AC 2015. Montazeri has always been a calm dude, today he lost his cool for a moment. As a veteran he should have that under control all the times. Ezattolahi had an average day for his age. He has more place for improvement. Taremi was invisible in first half but turned a useful tool in 2nd half. Azmoun was great today and all over the front. Good performance by him. Ashkan was also very good except his last touches. He was very effective and should work on his finishing skills. Kaveh Rezai was invisible today.


On the bright side we got 3 points, had no divings or injuries.

We played sloppy in first half and last 20min. We could do a lot better. Overall it was a half decent play.

Ali Karimi and Akhbari (the third goal keeper) are the only players in the current team melli squad who haven't got any playing time so far.

I wish CQ would have started Akhbari in this game. He has been great for Tractor.
