I am very excited to see Ezatolahi play. This was the first time I actually saw him play, and it is fantastic to see a towering young player like him join the TM roster. He physically dominated every challange and I think he can turn into a key player. We need bigger players like him, the friendly against Sweden really showed that we need more physical players.

We don't need just physically strong players we need to have technically gifted players as well people like Khalaatbari. I am against CQ's mentality of just letting tall and strong players to the national team. Whenever we play against physically strong European or African teams his formula works but not for Asians or or South Americans. East Asians or South American teams are fast and have technical players, so a skilled play maker just like Khalaatbari can be very helpful for us. Even against Arabs he can be a good tool. Remember Khalaatbari performance in WCQs back in 2012/13 and his amazing recent time in Sepahan. He can help our team at least for two more years. Comparing him to Shojai shows the contrasts. Shojai is physically stronger and taller but slow and sloppy. Khalaatbari is short but fast and smart.

Why Haghighi (who doesn't play in Rubin since the start of the season) and not Beiro? Is the latter soorakh?
Why Heydari and not Rezaian?
Why two old CB and not a combo young-old one?
Why Hajsafi (LW or DM) and not Mohammadi that performed well in Sturm Graz?
Why not a yound CM (Ezza) with Ando or someone to compete with Amiri for the LW spot?

Very happy with the result.
Not a pretty match to watch but like it or not this is a World Cup Qualifier and 3-0 away from home is great going.
2 points, the pitch was not worthy of an international match, you could see whilst TM was trying hard to display a passing football, Indians were lofting it most of the time. TM would have scored more on a better pitch.
Secondly with Shojaei assumingly gone, Heidari seems next!sigpic
Long Live 3 Rang'e Iran
