was a good game, we brough young players, dejagah got like a 5-6, could have been better, heydari slow like turtle, however with jahanbaksh and gucci we will have a strong team

very vague and incoherent play today. No heads or tails to our game. Neither tactics or strategy was shown in how we played.

to compound this, because our lads were facing a weak team, they became selfish and tried to score goals all by themselves and didnt help the team-movement one bit.
and the worst of it all, the pitch was just horrendous. the ball was wobbling and bouncing about. I saw a few close shots like Dejagah's attempt, that the ball just bounced right before he took his shot. No wonder we didnt score more goals. Otherwise we shd have beaten this pissy little team by a margin much more than guam or even make it double digits. I expect that in azadi though

I also didnt understand the subs, especially the first two.
you take out a forward (even if you've placed him at the wrong position; Taromi as right-wing????) and you bring in a defender???? why? are you afrraid the weak-ass India would equalize?
Kaveh for Taromi would have been far more logical.

Lets hope the team shows better performance the next time

Dejagah's finishing was off, but he played well and hustled. His technical style of game is hurt most by bad fields, and this field was no good.

Terrible pitch affected our play immensely, but I was happy with taremi and Ezatolahi, as well as kaveh rezaei.
Taremi was always hustling, and he is a very smart player for his lack of experience. He uses his body well, but I don't know what his position is (in fact the positioning of the whole team was very strange today). He is more of a Second striker for TM, and he is pretty good there.
Ezatolahi did well showcasing his strength on a couple of occasions. His shot at the end of the game was also intelligent, it really caught the keeper off guard.
Rezaei didn't play in his proper position, as he should have came in for azmoun around the 65th. But he did run and play heads up. He deserves to play at least a half as a striker in one of our games.

ashkan didnt even care today .... he is a great technical player and when he plays with gheyrat, he is our best player. if he improved his finishing he could be a elite winger but i guess its all too late now. anyways im gonna make a video of all his skills with TM, my fav player on TM by far. he just needs to care in games like india, he could have had a hattrick

our forwards are good, however reality is gucci and azmoun are top 2, taremi is good, but i dont think with a fully fit gucci he can get a chance to play

i think as of now gucci has lost the #2 spot to Taremi. one of the main rules of coaching in football is don't fix something if its not broken. taremi is doing well, scoring goals and creating chances. he also works hard, so i think cq will stick with him for now.

I think after ashkan relized that all 3 subs are used, he just started to do what ever he wants..

But to be fair taremi played well against guam and india. Gucci has scored goals in europe, has europa league experience, and scored for TM in really big games, south korea, Bosnia, etc. Not saying taremi doesnt deserve a chance against a big team, just saying we should recognize the opposition and experience as well

My overall take of the game:

                          - First off shout out to the real MVP the commentator for thinking Ghafouri was playing for 36 minutes and nearly every-time saying the wrong players name after a shot on target. Truly terrible.
                          - We did not have the same organization as the Guam game out players seemed more tired, and the pitch was pretty crappy. Overall India was a good team for the first little while, then after the first goal they broke down, and by the 65th minute or so were completely out of gas. We scored 3 goals, won away from home which is important, but there were some noticeable problems as will point out with each individual player. We could have easily scored more, and they didn't really challenge us too much. Our subs showed that CQ did not want to concede and was satisfied with the lead he had, was definately the safe choice. Its good timing that we have the Japan game so we can finally be tested.

                          Player Ratings:

Haghighi - 6: Something about him seemed off today, although he wasn't truly challenged he did not seem comfortable in net. A goalie needs regular playing time more-so than any other player IMO and we can see the result.

Hajsafi - 7: He played better as LB today, had good tackles, but he is turning to the new "bezan ziresh" king. He needs to keep the ball down. Also its not like his opponents really challenged him at all, but his positioning and fitness was good.
Hosseini - 6.5: Played decently don't have too much to say about him
Montazeri - 7: I think he played well and was alert today
Heydari - 2: I can't take another second of him. This guy is known for his "passing ability" and can't complete a damn pass if his life depended on it. I was praying for Rezaein to come in, I hope to never see him play for TM again, he has had more than 50 caps and been pretty poor almost every game.

Teymourian - 7.5: I give him a 7.5 for his goal, assist and hustle. However an important trend seems to be emerging that he cannot complete a pass when the ball is in motion. Ever since Nekounam has retired and he has fallen futher back I have noticed his poor passing. He really needs to work on this, however pretty hard to argue when he assists and scores.
Ebrahimi - 6.5 : He played decently however he is too short for DMF position. He lost the ball in the middle of the field too many times because of his height and weak physical presence, and Ezzatolahi was a great sub for him.
Amiri - 6 : Another relatively weak performance by him, other than hustle and speed I didn't see anything form him, maybe 1 good cross?
Dejagah - 4: Negatives = useless dribbles, out of shape, slow, gassed after 65th minute and horrible finishing. Positives = lots of movement, covered a large portion of the midfield, however he didn't do too much with it. It's as if he thinks he has the same ability as before and is ignoring how much he has plummeted. Qatar really accomplished something with ruining out best player, he needs to regain his form fast. We need you ashkan.

Taremi - 7.5 : Goal and assist warrents him a decent rating, however he was invisible for too much of the game hence why it isn't higher.
Azmoun - 8 : Nice goal, hustled a lot, finally didn't get injured and played 90 minutes. Well done to our youngster hope to see him paired up with Reza soon.

                          ---------------------

Ezzatollahi - 7 : Good sub, felt his presence right away, nice passes, tackles. Just needs to work on his shot more, but he has potential and you can see it. He is very tall and is ideal for a DMF
Pouraliganji - N/A : honestly don't know what to give him, didn't see too much and he got a yellow so N/A
                          K. Rezaei - 6.5 : Good passes and speed, he looks very fit. Would like to see him get more playing time next game, didn't play enough for a high rating.

didn't watch this game, but I can imagine AD playing out of position not being as effective.
He always needed space to use his skills, even in his prime days in Germany.
He is not the player you want to see going through traffic.

he can be much more dangerous when we are playing against teams that are on same level or stronger than ours. those teams come forward and leave space behind and someone like AD is very good at using his skills to exploit that. I am not sure why he is playing these games. maybe carlos is trying out different things with him to use in the future. He is not a CAM he needs to play closer to the sidelines to be effective. He is great at cutting back in and his crosses are very good too.

TM needs CAM and I am afraid we just don't have a good one anywhere, not even in the pipeline.

I feel like ashe is very careful, very careful in regards to his foot after that injury. He knows that one more thing like that and he will be out for a long time, and his position in Al Arabi will be given to somebody else. We need to be easier on him. He is far and away the highest calibre player on TM and defo proved that against argentina in WC for those who doubt him.
