Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that two out of our 3 foreign coaches are sitting at the bottom of the table, with two of the biggest and most popular teams in Iran, even behind a team that was relegated from Azadegan to Division 1?!

Not to mention that the other one's in the bottom half of the table too.

P.S. Just read the article on the front page about Branko saying he wants to coach Iran again!

Sad situation for Perspolis. Every year the fans are expecting ghahremani so every chairman has to spend alot of money buying new players. They have no long-term plan. The only plan is to pick all good players from last edition of the league and build a team with 11 new players.

They have no academy, no private stadium, no tv-rights, only one training pitch (for a club with 20-30million fans = embarrassing) and no long-term plan. Only hashie and fights.
I am shocked why the club ultras (if they have one??) is not doing anything.

I know alot of people hate Mayelikohan but he said the truth about Perspolis situation in that interview with bijan zolfagharnasab. Someone should post it. He actually said some clever things

As I said.... refs in our league give out penalties so cheaply. None of those were penalties. The second one was the most obvious mistake, the ball hit Rezaeian clear in the head and did not touch his hand.

Poor refereeing (for all teams) really brings the quality of the league down. Some of these guys are truly @ a low level.

Anyway, here are some numbers after 5 / 6 games into the season.

            Most goals scored : 1) Sepahan & Persepolis - 9 goals 2) Esteghlal - 8 goals 3) Zob Ahan & Malavan - 7 goals

Least goals scored: Gostaresh, Tractor, Naft and Foolad : 4 goals (Naft has only played 4 games)

Least goals conceded: 1) Sepahan, EsEs Khuz, Zob Ahan - 3 goals 2) Esteghlal Tehran and Esteghlal Ahvaz - 4 goals

            Most goals conceded 1) Persepolis - 12 goals 2) Foolad - 11 goals 3) Rah Ahan - 8 goals

            Top Goalscorers:

            1) Mehdi Taremi - 5 goals
            2) Mehrad Mohammadi - 4 goals
Tied for 3rd) Arash Afshin, Beytsaeid, Hajsafi, Rezaei, Shahbazzadeh, Shojaeian - 3 goals
