"Iranian Women's Futsal Team Scores Brilliant 1-Touch Passing Goal at AFC Champs

This is one-touch football at its finest.

The Iranian women's national futsal team scored this brilliant team goal in a 4-2 win over Malaysia at the AFC Women's Futsal Championship on Wednesday.

Fahimeh Zarei applied the finishing backheel to the opening-minute goal, but it was all about the buildup as the side exchanged neat passes to create the chance."

let me give you a hint, This is the 1st ever Asian Futsal Championship for women. and we still don't have an official World Cup.

btw women's futsal was included in Asian Indoor Games from the 1st edition back in 2005. after missing the first edition, Iran finished 5th, 4th and 2nd respectively at 2007, 2009 and 2013.

since it was hard to play outdoor football for girls in Iran, women's futsal has a longer history in Iran probably more than any other country in Asia.

There has been no official World Cup yet. But Iran has participated in a few World Tournaments. They played against Brazil a few times.

You can look it up here:

              of course I know that

but by saying that I mean women's futsal is not developed that much in the world, FIFA still didn't even bother to have a world cup.

Yeah I noticed. Maybe Kafashian should push AFC to talk with FIFA about this

I saw him seated in today's match against Thailand, so maybe he has some plans. Or he has just too much free time...

I can't see them playing any better than they are now, they're playing beautiful football. As much as I believe Hejab should be their choice, don't you think the hejab has made them more special and respected in the eyes of foreign people?

Doing my best now to try to advertise this on Twitter, and will do so on Reddit as well. Even though we might lose its good to actually have articles on our skills and not just on how we dont let our wife go and play. Like there are good sides to us playing even though our captain was pulled away from us and the girls still want to win and dream for the gold!

People will always respect and commend individuals who succeed in the face of difficulty and disability. You see someone who lost a leg doing a marathon and respect him way more than a normal person doing a marathon. Just because it is true doesn't mean we should stop eradicating difficulties and disabilities so people can stay "special" and "respected". Right now Hejab is not a choice, even when it is claimed to be by choice you can see massive amount of brainwashing and social/cultural pressure that led to it. Hope it gets fixed one day in our lifetime so Iranian women can achieve their true potential and their true potential is not being "protected" by a piece of cloth or disrespected for lack of it. Allowing women in Iran to wear Hejab by choice will also allow Iranian women who move overseas to hit the ground running on things that really matters like education and social progression as opposed to being lost to the life without Hejab
